Handhelds

During 2004-2005 school year, a pilot project at Upper Providence Elementary School had 4th grade students using handhelds (Palm Zire 72) as a learning tool.  This small wireless device has all the functions of a personal computer and can be used in a variety of learning experiences. An overview of this project was presented at a state and national conference in 2005.

During the 2005-2006 school year, handhelds were implemented with 4th grade students at Limerick Elementary as the result of a grant awarded to the building principal.
