Dr. McCoy’s June Newsletter
Room
21 will wrap up the school year with Olympic Day on Friday, June 4th -
always a fun day outside! We will also have our End-of-Year Celebration at Manderach Park on Friday, June 11th. We will play cooperative games, enjoy a
catered lunch, and play on all the equipment. We recently took a tour of the 5/6
Building and the students are excited about next year. Our class trip to
historic Philadelphia was a big hit- perfect weather, educational and
memorable.
We
finished up Unit 6 in Language Arts- “Seeing is Believing”.
In Math we recently took our Unit 10 test on symmetry, decimals, and adding
negative numbers. In Unit 11 we will be studying geometric solids, volume,
measurements, and continuing on with negative numbers. We will wrap up our
Social Studies unit with “Asia Day”- lots of activities and foods related to
the various Asian countries we studied.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful summer. Keep reading and reviewing those
multiplication facts. Have fun, be safe, and go to the 5/6 Building with a
positive attitude. Thank you to all my parent helpers this year. Dr.
