Current

work they did during the summer to get ready for the new school year.

§
Back-to-School
Night on September 6 was a success.

We
are starting a new assessment for kindergarten and first grade called

last about 1 minute and are a good way to tell if a child is on track for
letter identification and phonics. These
assessments involve Dr. Nepps and the child’s teacher and will occur 3 times
during the year.
§
The
Habitat area is completed and was dedicated in May 2007. We are preparing for phase 2, which is the
installation of a pond. The proposal has
been written and will be presented to the S-F School Board for approval.
§
Skyward
is a new computer program that replaces Lettergrade. It is a comprehensive program for attendance,
