Author Visit, 10/26/07

Bruce Van Patter, famous illustrator and author of children's books, visited Oaks Friday, 10/26 and inspired the kids to be creative!  Through assemblies and workshops, Mr. Van Patter encouraged the kids to use their imaginations to create stories.  With ideas from the student audience, Mr. Van Patter created an unique illustration which showed the students the creative processes to use for illustrating.

Creativity comes through experiencing a variety of activities throughout each day and storing those ideas in your "treasure boxes" in your brain!  So get out there and fill those treasure boxes!
