! !
1.
ARRIVAL AT
SCHOOL:
Children cannot be dropped off at school before 8:50 AM,
at which time they will be admitted to the school building.
All students must be in their classrooms by 9:00 AM,
which is the start of the school day.
If your child arrives at school after 9:00 AM, he/she is
considered tardy. Please
have your child report to the office
with an excuse note
before proceeding to his/her classroom.
2.
PROCEDURES
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE PICKED UP:
Parents who want to pick up their child
at the end of the day (3:40 PM)
must send a note to
the office that morning so that the child is not placed on the bus.
Please
DO NOT call the school office OR email the teacher to place your
child on the pickup list.
A written note must be sent to school. Children who do
not have notes will be expected to board the bus.
ALL parents are expected to come into the building
to “sign out their child”.
3.
BUSING:
Students are
NOT permitted to
ride a different bus to or from school.
Arrangements for traveling to or from another student’s home
must be worked out between parents.
4.
RETURNING TO
SCHOOL FOR FORGOTTEN ITEMS:
Students are not permitted to return to the classroom for
forgotten items after 4:00 PM.
Classroom doors are locked after school.
It is the responsibility of the children (not parents) to
remember to take home any items that they will need for that
evening’s work. In the
event of forgotten assignments, textbooks, etc., children should
make arrangements with a classmate to borrow the needed items.
5.
ABSENTEE
PHONE LINE:
610-705-6008 ext. 4
- If your child will
be absent from school, please call the “Absentee Phone Line” by
9:00 AM. State the
date, your child’s name, your child’s teacher, and the reason for
the absence.
6.
EXCUSE
NOTES:
When a child is absent from school a
note written by the parent or guardian must be submitted to the
classroom teacher within five days of the child’s return to
school or the absence will be considered unlawful.
This is in addition to calling the
Absentee Phone Line.
7.
EDUCATIONAL TRIPS:
Any parent who wishes to take a child
out of school for the purpose of an educational trip must complete
and submit for approval an educational trip form at least five
(5) days prior to the start of the trip.
Any work missed must be completed in a timely manner.
School Closings:
The Spring-Ford Area School District uses an automated phone
system to call parents in the event of a school closing or early
dismissal. If you are not receiving phone calls when there
is a closing or need an update to your contact numbers, please
call the school office. The Special Messages link
on the top link bar will have school closing information when
applicable. School closings due to inclement
weather can also be monitored on the various local TV and radio
stations; our school closing number is 308.
