Lifetime Family and Consumer Sciences

Lifetime Family and Consumer Science 660

Grades 10       3 Periods    .25 credit

                This course will look at a variety of issues and skills that everyone will use throughout their lifetime. Topics will include financial and resource management; balancing family, work, and community responsibilities; nutrition; and child development. This course does not include a food lab experience. This course is required for all students in their sophomore year (or their second year) in the senior high as part of a graduation requirement. Students transferring to Spring-Ford after their second year are required to complete the course in order to graduate. Every student must pass the course with a 65% or higher. This semester course corresponds with the Career Exploration course.
