Scholarship Listing

The Future Planning Center has received notice of the following scholarships. Additional information on each scholarship can be obtained in the FPC. Please refer to each scholarship by number when you come in.

Please note – Some deadlines are earlier than “mail-in” deadlines so that we have time to complete the Guidance portion of your scholarship application!

#1 COCA-COLA SCHOLARSHIPS – The Coca-Cola Scholarship Foundation is offering 250 merit-based scholarships (nationwide), ranging from $10,000 to $20,000.  Awards are based on academic achievement, leadership, and extra-curricular activities. Students must apply online at:  www.coca-colascholars.org. Deadline for applications is Wednesday, October 31.

#2 – PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARDS – honors students for outstanding community service. Local honorees receive Certificates of Achievement. State honorees receive $1,000 and a trip to Washington, DC. National honorees receive $6,000 plus additional prizes. Apply online at   www.prudential.com/spirit. Additional paperwork must be submitted to Guidance by Wednesday, October 24th. (The application and description of volunteer service is lengthy so please obtain the form as soon as possible.

#3 – BERKS TECHNICAL INSTITUTE – BTI annually awards one full tuition and four one-half tuition merit scholarships to graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing post-secondary education at BTI. A monthly scholarship test is administered free of charge for interested students. Call 800-821-4662 to register for testing.

#4 – WASHINGTON CROSSING FOUNDATION- is offering a variety of national and regional college scholarships ranging from $500-$7,500 for students who are planning careers in government service. Students must write an essay and have a recommendation from the high school principal or guidance counselor. More information is available online at   www.gwcf.org.  Deadline for application to your guidance counselor is Friday, December 7th.

#5- HORATIO ALGER ASSOCIATION- is offering financial assistance to students throughout the nation who have financial need and have exhibited integrity and perseverance in overcoming personal adversity. Students must be graduating in spring/summer of 2008, pursue a bachelor’s degree, and be a United States citizen or permanent resident. Scholarship award amounts range from $1,000- $20,000.  Applications must be completed online at  www.horationalger.com/scholarships. Deadline for submission is October 30th.

#6 – GATES MILLENNIUM SCHOLARS PROGRAM-to provide outstanding, low income African-American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students an opportunity to complete an undergraduate college education. Students must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 3.3 GPA, will enroll as a full-time student at a college/university for Fall 2008, demonstrate leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities, meet federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria and complete the entire application. More information and applications are available online at www.gsmp.org. Application deadline is January 11th (online) or December 31st( paper applications).

 #7- AMERICAN DREAMS SCHOLARSHIPS- provided by Commerce Bank; $1,000 scholarships are one-time awards for graduating seniors who will enroll in full-time programs at accredited two-or four-year colleges, universities, or technical schools within the U.S. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be employed or actively involved in their community. Applications are available online at www.commerceonline.com/americandream. Applications will be available online November 1st- December 15th.

 #8- PSECU-scholarships are available to students who are members of PSECU (Pa. State Employees Credit Union). Any student who is interested in applying must contact PSECU for the application at 1-800-237-7328. This application has a guidance section. Application deadline to GUIDANCE is February 1, 2008.

 #9 – NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR COOPERATIVE EDUCATION – a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing high quality, college- level cooperative education is offering 185 merit co-op scholarships of $6,000 each, renewable value of $4,500.  To apply please complete the application by visiting www.co-op.edu. Application deadline is February 15, 2008.

#10-UNITED STEELWORKERS-DISTRICT 10- six, four year scholarships each with a total value of $4,000 are being offered. Applicants must be a member in good standing, or the son/daughter or legal ward of a member of a United Steelworkers local union participating in the Scholarship program; or the son/daughter or legal ward of a disabled or old age retiree or deceased member of an affiliated local union who was in good standing at the time of their retirement or death. Applications may be obtained from participating local unions. Application deadline is March 15, 2008.

 #11- MONMOUTH UNIVERSITY LEADERSHIP GRANT- the university is awarding five $1,000 grants and will be awarded on the basis of leadership qualities that include citizenship, civility, and responsibility to their community. Applicants must be applying to Monmouth University for the Fall 2008 semester. Each high school is able to nominate one student. If you are interested in being considered for this nomination please stop by the FPC to give your name to Miss Trout by Friday, December 7, 2007.

 #12- THOMAS B. MCCABE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD- SWARTHMORE COLLEGE- this scholarship is being awarded to students who exhibit both exceptional academic achievement and outstanding leadership qualities. Interested students must have completed the Swarthmore College admissions application by January 2, 2008. No additional materials are necessary for scholarship consideration.

 #13-JOHN MCKEE SCHOLARSHIP- offers college or vocational training scholarships to high school seniors who are: fatherless, in need of financial assistance, a native of Montgomery County, and not over the age of 19 at the time of his application. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, January 11, 2008.

 #14 – PENNSYLVANIA ELKS ASSOCIATION– is offering scholarships and grants to graduating seniors in the class of 2007. Applicants must complete the application, essay, submit parental financial statement, official transcript of grades, SAT/ACT scores, counselor report, two (2) letters of recommendation and exhibits of achievement in scholarships, leadership, athletics, dramatics or community service. Applications are available online at www.elks.org or by contacting your local Elks lodge office. Application deadline is January 11, 2008.

 #15 – THE AMERICAN RED CROSS – is offering a scholarship to a graduating senior in the class of 2008. Applicants must include a 500 word essay, the application, and two recommendations. The student must have participated in an American Red Cross Blood Service activity during their senior year of high school. Applications are available on the website: www.pleasegiveblood.org Application deadline is February 11, 2008.

 #16- BOSTON UNIVERSITY - is offering scholarships to students who have excelled both inside and outside the classroom and plan on attending Boston University. Any student interested in applying should visit their website for application instructions, forms and essay materials. The website is   www.bu.edu/admissions/apply/scholarship.html. Application deadline is December 1, 2007.

 #17 – TOYOTA COMMUNITY SCHOLARS – will award 100 renewable scholarships valued at $10,000-$20,000 payable over four years to seniors who enroll at a four-year college or university in the fall of 2007. Candidates must have an outstanding academic record, be an effective leader and have a well-documented record of service both within and outside the school setting. If you would like to be considered for nomination please Miss Trout in the FPC. Application deadline is November 16, 2007.

 #18- COMCAST LEADERS & ACHIEVERS SCHOLARSHIP- this scholarship recognizes high schools seniors for their commitment to community service, academics, and demonstrated leadership. This is a one-time grant of $1,000. Applicants must have a grade point average of 2.8 or higher, demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences, and have a strong commitment to and involvement in community service. Employees of Comcast, its subsidiaries and affiliates, and their families are not eligible. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, November 23, 2007.

 #19-ITHACA COLLEGE- is offering the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar Program. This is a special opportunity for academically exceptional students from traditionally underrepresented populations who demonstrate strong character and leadership through service and community involvement. More information and the application are available online at www.ithaca.edu/mlk. Application deadline is January 15, 2008.

 #20- RON BROWN SCHOLAR PROGRAM- a national program that awards scholarships to academically talented, highly motivated African-American high school seniors who intend to pursue an undergraduate degree. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, demonstrate academic achievement, exhibit leadership ability, participate in community service activities and demonstrate need Applications available online at www.ronbrown.org and then click on Scholarship Application. Application deadline is postmarked January 9, 2008.

#21- TRI-COUNTY AREA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION- is awarding one student in the area $1,500 for their future educational goals. The award is based on the student’s community involvement and academic achievement- a minimum 3.0 GPA is required. The student must be a member of the Credit Union. Applications are available in the FPC.  Application deadline is March 15, 2008.

 #22- PACB FOUNDATION- is offering four (4), $1,000 renewable scholarships. Applicant must be a dependent child of a parent working at least 1,000 hrs/year, for a minimum of 2 years for a regular member of the PACB and must enroll as a full-time undergraduate student at an accredited educational institution. Applications available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Friday, February 1, 2008.

 #23- Big 33- Scholarships are being offered to high school senior students who reside in Pennsylvania. All scholarship information and applications can be found online at www.big33.org. Applications can be completed until Friday, February 1, 2008.

 #24- McKELVEY FOUNDATION- is offering one hundred (100), $10,000 scholarships for 4 years. Applicants must be a graduating senior in the class of 2008, plan on attending a 4 year college, own your own business for at least one (1) year and have at least one (1) paid employee.  Applications are available online at www.mckelveyfoundation.org (click on Entrepreneurial Scholarship). Application deadline is January 15, 2008.

 #25-POTTSTOWN GARDEN CLUB- will award a $1,000 scholarship in January 2008 to a student who will be attending an accredited college and majoring in horticulture, forestry, conservation, landscape architecture, plant pathology or related field. Candidates must have a strong academic record and the intent to pursue a career in a horticulture related field. Applications available in the FPC. Application deadline is December 12, 2007.

 #26- ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION- is awarding 500 scholarships nationwide. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating in 2008 and a U.S. citizen. Winners will be selected on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Applications are available online at www.elks.org/enf/scholars or in the FPC. Application deadline is January 11, 2008.

 #27- PA JCI SENATE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM- will award two (2) $500 scholarships to senior students will graduate in 2008. Winners will be selected based on academics, financial need, extra-curricular activities and community involvement. Applications are available online at www.usjcisenate.org/pa or in the FPC. Application deadline is January 9, 2008.

#28-RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES- scholarships are being offered to all college bound high school seniors in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Wednesday, January 23, 2008.

#29-AXA ACHIEVEMENT COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIPS- are being awarded to students who set and reach ambitious goals, demonstrate drive and determination, respect themselves, family, and community and have the ability to succeed in college. More information and applications are available online at www.axa-achievement.com. Application deadline is Friday, February 15, 2008.

#30-HISPANIC HERITAGE FOUDATION- educational scholarships are available for high school seniors of Hispanic heritage. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. More information and applications are available online at http://www.hispanicheritage.org/youth_int.php?sec=80. Application deadlines vary.

 #31-DREXEL UNIVERSITY- is offering an Alumni-Trustee Grant to undergraduate students for $250. If you plan on attending Drexel this fall please stop by the FPC to complete the application. Deadline to complete the application is Friday, January 25, 2008.

#32- ANNA M. VINCENT SCHOLARSHIP TRUST- offers a scholarship to students who have job experience, financial need, and have demonstrated strong scholastic achievement. Applications are available online at www.fsrequests.com/annavincent. Application deadline is March 1, 2008.

 #33- MONSANTO COMPANY- is offering one-time awards of $1,500 to graduating seniors who plan to pursue a career in an agriculture-related field. Applications are available online at www.monsanto.com. Application deadline is February 15, 2008.

 #34- ROBERT C. BYRD SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM- is offering $1,500 scholarships to students during their first four (4) years of undergraduate study at an eligible institution.  Applicants must be a 2007 graduate, legal resident of PA, U.S. citizen, expect to be in their freshman year following high school graduation, submit a letter of acceptance, rank in the top 5% of their class, minimum GPA of 3.50, and a minimum SAT score of 1150 or minimum ACT score of 25. Students who apply for this scholarship and are not awarded it are automatically entered into the PHEAA Excellence Scholarship Award Program.  #35-BEST BUY- is offering scholarships to students graduating in the class of 2008 for their hard work inside and outside of the classroom. Applications are available online at www.bestbuy.com/scholarships. Application deadline is Friday, February 15, 2008.

 #36- MONTGOMERY COUNTY SCHOOL NURSES’ SCHOLARSHIP- will award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving high school student who plans on becoming a professional nurse. Applicants must be a graduating senior in 2008 and plan on enrolling into an accredited college or university nursing program. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Monday, March 10, 2008.

 #37- SAMMY 2008 AWARD PROGRAM- is recognizing outstanding scholar athletes in grade 12. Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, athletic excellence, leadership, and community service. Applications and official rules are available online at www.sammy.bodybymilk.com. Application deadline is Friday, March 7, 2008.

#38- PA School Public Relations Association- is offering three (3) $500 one-year scholarships. Applicants must be interested in studying public relations or a related subject at a 2- or 4- year college or other institution of higher learning and applicants must have a 3.0 GPA. The application is available online at   www.penspra.org Application deadline is February 22, 2008.

 #39- Abraham Buckwalter Scholarship- is offering an annual grant to defray the educational cost of attending an accredited college, technical school or university. Application procedures and applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is March 7, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.     ***AVAILABLE TO SPRING-FORD STUDENTS ONLY***\

 #40- American Heritage Federal Credit Union- is offering five (5) $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who will be attending a post-secondary institution. Applicants must be members of American Heritage Federal Credit Union. Applications and teacher evaluations are available online at www.amhfcu.org or in the FPC. Application deadline is April 4, 2008.

 #41- Montgomery-Bucks Family & Consumer Sciences Association- is offering a college scholarship award of $500 to a high school senior who is interested in a career in Family & Consumer Sciences. Applicants must be a resident of Montgomery or Bucks County, in good scholastic standing, and will enter college as a freshman immediately following high school graduation. Areas in which the scholarship recipient may study are: Foods & Nutrition, Housing & Interior Design, Child Care & Family Studies, Clothing & Textiles, Consumer Education, and Family & Consumer Sciences Education. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is March 25, 2008.

 #42- Student Insights- is sponsoring a scholarship contest for high school seniors. Students need to log on to  www.student-view.com and complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in our area. The scholarship will be awarded via a random drawing of all completed applications. The application deadline is April 22, 2008.

#43-National Federation of the Blind- is offering scholarships to blind women who demonstrate academic excellence, community service, financial need and plan on attending a post-secondary institution. Applications are available online at www.nfb.org/scholarshipsApplication deadline is March 31, 2008.

 #44- PA Burglar & Fire Alarm Association- is offering scholarship awards to sons and daughters of active duty police and fire personnel, as well as volunteer fire department personnel. Applicants must be a graduating senior in the class of 2008, be accepted and plan on attending an accredited college or university, have a father, mother, or legal guardian who is a full-time active employee and not on disability. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is March 1, 2008.

 #45- The Chester County Board of Commissioners & Agricultural Development Council- is offering a $1,000 agricultural grant for a high school senior planning to pursue a major in agriculture or an agriculture-related field.  The applicant must be a high school senior and the student’s parents or guardians must live in Chester County. The application is available online at www.chesco.org/agriculture under Educational Grants or applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is March 1, 2008.

 #46- Friendship Fire Company- is awarding two $1,000 scholarships. This award is available to college bound students of members of the fire company who will be attending an accredited college or junior college. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is May 2, 2008.

 #47- Montgomery County Medical Society Alliance- is awarding financial assistance for nursing education to residents of Montgomery County who qualify for such aid.  Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Tuesday, April 15, 2008.

 #48- Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.- is offering scholarships to students in the graduating class of 2008. Applicants must be 1) be minority students  2) resident of Chester or Montgomery County 3) plan on pursuing a degree in a college or university 3) have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and 5) exemplify good citizenship and demonstrates community service. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Friday, February 15, 2008.

 #49- AAA East Penn Safety Patrol Scholarship Fund- is offering scholarships to graduating seniors who reside in AAA East Penn’s service area. Nominees for the four- year academic scholarship must have documented proof of active participation in the School Safety Patrol Program, rank in the top 25% of their class, have a strong record of scholastic achievement, participate in extracurricular activities and plan to enroll in an accredited four-year college. Nominees for the two- year vocational or non-vocational scholarship must have documented proof of active participation in the School Safety Patrol Program, be enrolled in an accredited two-year vocational or non-vocational program and have a strong record of achievements. The school can only nominate ONE (1) student in each category. To be considered for nomination, please complete the application and submit all required documents to Miss Trout in the FPC by Friday, February 29, 2008. Applications are available in the FPC.

#50- Spring-Ford Booster Club- is offering scholarships to graduating seniors in the class of 2008. Scholarship winners are based on scholastic achievement and sports participation. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Tuesday, March 25, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#51- Spring-Ford Alumni Association- is offering scholarships to two seniors who plan on furthering their education. Applicants must have at least an 80% average in all major subjects, must have participated in one or more high school extra-curricular or community-based activities and an essay must be submitted. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

 #52- Phoenixville Hospital Auxiliary- is offering scholarships to students who plan on pursuing a career in healthcare. The scholarship is $2,000 renewable for four (4) years. This application has many parts so please allow enough time to obtain all of the paperwork needed to complete the application. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 4, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#53- Norristown Garden Club- is offering a scholarship for $2,000 to an applicant who plans on pursuing a career in horticulture or related field. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#54- North Montco Chapter- Twigs, Inc.- is offering scholarships to college/trade school bound seniors who have displayed academic strength, community involvement, career goals, and financial aid. Youth Twig members are ineligible. Applicants must be African-American, reside in Montgomery County, graduate high school and plan on attending a four- year institution of higher learning, submit an official transcript, complete the application, submit 2 letters of recommendation, and provide a recent photograph. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, March 21, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#55- Delaware Valley School Business Officials- is offering a scholarship to graduating seniors in the class of 2008 who plan on pursuing a career in business. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April, 2008.

#56- GFWC Women’s Civic Club- is offering a scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior in the class of 2007 who has excelled in volunteer services to their school, church or community. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is April 1, 2008.

#57- JNA Institute of Culinary Arts- is offering a scholarship to graduating students in the class of 2008 who plan on pursuing a career in Culinary Arts. The school may nominate only one (1) senior student for this award. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Tuesday, March 25, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#58-Mervyn Sluizer, Jr. Scholarship- is offering scholarships to students who have been active in the Boy Scouts of America for at least five (5) years, and currently active at the time of application. Applicants must have attained the rank of Eagle, demonstrated responsible leadership as a Scout for a period of at least one (1) year, and exemplify the ideals of Scouting in his life and by his activities. Applications are available in the FPC.  Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#59- Pa. House of Representatives 2008 Scholarship- this program provides renewable scholarships to two (2) high school seniors per year. Each award consists of the value of one semester of tuition at the State System of Higher Education for each four (4) years. Eligible educational institutions include nearly all colleges, universities, and career schools in Pennsylvania. Applicants must plan on attending a Pennsylvania College or University as a full-time student, minimum 3.0 GPA, commitment to the community and demonstrate leadership qualities, extracurricular activities, and must have financial need. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Tuesday, March 25, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#60- Message of Hope Foundation- is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior graduating in the class of 2008. Applicants must demonstrate and understand the importance of living their lives for others, have a minimum 75% or 2.5 GPA, and be actively involved in their community. Two (2) essays are also required along with three (3) letters of recommendation. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#61- Janice M. Scott Memorial Scholarship Fund- is offering scholarships to graduating seniors in the class of 2008. Applicants must be a US Citizen, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, must plan on entering an accredited four year college or university, and have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating in community services, extracurricular activities, or other activities. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Tuesday, March 11, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#62- Asian American Women’s Coalition- is offering a $1,250 scholarship renewable for four (4) years to financially needy Asian American females. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, complete the application, demonstrate financial need, and participate in extracurricular activities and community service. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is March 29, 2008.

#63- Saint James United Church of Christ- is offering two (2) $500 scholarships to qualifying students in the area. This scholarship is designed to give recognition to the value of personal character and to recognize individuals who exhibit good character traits. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is March 31, 2008.

#64- Spring-Ford Educational Foundation- is offering scholarships to seniors who plan on furthering their education. An award will be given to six (6) seniors, one from each of the six attendance areas of the district. The scholarships are based on school and community service, but applications will be reviewed anonymously. There are several components to this scholarship packet, so please allow enough time to complete the application. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April, 4, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

**THIS SCHOLARSHIP IS FOR SPRING-FORD SENIOR STUDENTS ONLY**

#65- Dayna Lynn Sperring Memorial Scholarship- this $500 scholarship is being offered to a student who will further their education in either Nursing or Early Childhood Education. Students who wish to apply are required to write an essay (no more than 2 pages) on why they have chosen to continue their education in one of those areas of study and what they hope to accomplish in their field of study after they graduate. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, March 28, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#66- The Afternoon Music Club- is offering a $1,500 scholarship to a senior student who will be graduating in 2008 and plans on attending a music school or conservatory in pursuit of professional music careers. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is April 15, 2008.

#67-Devon Health- is offering scholarships to three (3) high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare industry. Applicants must have been accepted to pursue a full-time baccalaureate course of study beginning in the fall 2008 and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applications are available in the FPC or can be downloaded online at www.devonhealth.com. Application deadline is Friday, March 28, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#68- Spring-Ford Education Association- is offering scholarships to seniors graduating in the class of 2008 and who plan on majoring in Education. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#69- Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania, Inc.-  is offering scholarships to children of workers who have been seriously or fatally injured in a work-related accident. Applicants must be between the ages of 16-18, the  parent(s) must have sustained a serious or fatal injury/illness as a result of a work related accident, and must be compensable under Pennsylvania’s Worker’s Compensation Law.  #70- Brooke Elem. Home & School & Faculty Scholarship- a $400 scholarship will be awarded to two (2) deserving seniors. Applicants must have attended Brooke Elem. School for a minimum of one (1) year, have an overall GPA of 90 or higher, must be attending a four year college, and have involvement in both school-related extra-curricular activities, and community service. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008.

#71- Charles Wise Memorial Scholarship- is being offered to a SPRING-FORD senior who lives in Spring City and is pursuing a career in a health related field. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #72- Cummins Family Scholarship- is a scholarship being given to a SPRING-FORD student who will major in special education in college. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #73- Doris Edwards Memorial Award- is a $500 scholarship for a SPRING-FORD student who is pursuing a career in nursing. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

#74- Lynn March Memorial Award- is a $500 scholarship for a SPRING-FORD female senior who is seeking to further her education. Applicants must have been involved in Girl Scouts or Brownies. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April, 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #75- Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce-  is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a SPRING-FORD student who is furthering his/her education in any field.  Applicants must demonstrate community and school activities and have financial need. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 25, 2008 to the FPC.

 #76-Royersford Elementary School Scholarship- two (2) scholarships will be offered to qualified students who have attended Royersford Elementary School. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 80% and demonstrate involvement in school activities, community service, and leadership ability. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #77- Spring City Elementary School Scholarship- two (2) scholarships will be offered to qualified students who have attended Spring City Elementary School. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 80% and demonstrate involvement in school activities, community service, and leadership ability. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #78- Oaks Elementary School Scholarship- is offering money to a student who is planning to further his/her education at a trade school, two- year, or four-year school. Applicants must have attended Oaks Elementary, have a minimum “C” average, and verify community service. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #79- Limerick Elementary School Scholarship- is offering a scholarship to a student who has attended Limerick Elementary School for at least three (3) years. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #80- Diane Sierzega Ware Memorial Scholarship- is offering a $500 award to a SPRING-FORD senior who will major or minor in music in college. Applicants should have a GPA of 88 or above. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #81- Sandy Sankey Scholarship Fund- is providing a $400 scholarship to a SPRING-FORD senior who will be majoring in elementary or secondary education. Applicants must have a least an 86 GPA and demonstrate community leadership. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

#82- Dr. James Leiderman Memorial Scholarship- a scholarship is being awarded to a SPRING-FORD student who will major in education in college. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #83- Audino Family Military Scholarship- a $300 scholarship to a SPRING-FORD senior entering active military service or a military academy. Applications are available in the FPC.  Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #84- Audino Family Scholarship (arts & humanities)- a $300 scholarship to a SPRING-FORD senior entering the arts & humanities field in college. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #85- David & Linda Fazzini Scholarship- a scholarship to a SPRING-FORD senior who has at least “B” average GPA, has been working (summer or part-time), is saving money for college, and is active in at least one (1) extra-curricular activity. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18, 2008 to the FPC.

 #86- West- Mont United Soccer Association- is offering scholarships to SPRING-FORD seniors who plan on pursing their education. Applicants must have played for Valley Soccer/West-Mont and played on the Spring-Ford High School varsity team. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #87- American Legion Auxiliary Americanism- is offering a scholarship to a SPRING-FORD student who plans on furthering their education and their parent/guardian is currently serving in the military or is a veteran of the military. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 25, 2008 to the FPC.

 #88-Mikey Educational Fund Scholarship- a $500 scholarship is being offered to a SPRING-FORD High School senior. Applicants must be furthering their education, demonstrate academic progress and have financial need. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 25, 2008 to the FPC.

#89- Ursinus College- is offering scholarships to nine (9) Spring-Ford students who have been accepted to Ursinus College. If you have not yet decided if you are going to attend there- you are still encouraged to apply. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 18th, 2008 to the FPC.

 #90- Tri-County National Assoc. of Insurance and Financial Advisors- is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a graduate of a Tri-County area high school. Applicants must show leadership potential, academic effort, and contributions in the form of community service and plan on attending an accredited 4- year college or university. Applications are available in the FPC.  Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Friday, April 18, 2008.

 #91- Pa. Association of Medical Suppliers- is offering a scholarship to a deserving student who has overcome physical challenges with the help of home medical equipment and supplies. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11, 2008 to the FPC.

 #92- Hearing Loss Association of America- will award a $500 scholarship to two high school seniors with a hearing loss pursuing a college degree or vocational training. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Friday, April 25, 2008.

 #93- Continental Bank- is awarding a $500 scholarship to a SPRING-FORD student who will graduate in the class of 2008. The applicant must have excellent academic standings, community service involvement and plan on furthering their education in the fall at an accredited college or university. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline is Friday, April 11th to Miss Trout in the FPC.

#94- Carol A. Lippy Memorial Scholarship- a $500 scholarship is available to a SPRING-FORD senior student in the class of 2008 who plans on pursuing a degree in elementary education and/or special education. Applicants must demonstrate strong family values, community service, and an interest in the field of music. Applications are available in the FPC. Application deadline to Miss Trout in the FPC is Friday, April 18, 2008.
