Enrichment Opportunities

Since 1968, Presidential Classroom, the nation's premiere nonprofit, nonpartisan civic education program, has provided over 110,000 of the best and brightest high school juniors and seniors unprecedented access to our federal government and leaders who shape public policy.  For more information, visit www.presidentialclassroom.org or call 1-800-441-6533.

The Washington Workshops Foundation offers The Washington Internship Experience to motivated students interested in government and politics.  Program can be taken in three or six week segments in a Congressional office or politically related committee, council or state office on or near Capitol Hill.  Students can also conduct an in-depth study on legislative politics.  For more information: 800.368.5688  experiential@workshops.org  www.workshops.org

Sophomores and Juniors

Highly achieving and highly motivated 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in spending a week of their summer with students of similar interests come to the Guidance Office and/or go to:  www.state.pa.us  Keyword:  "Schools of Excellence".  This is an excellent opportunity to build your resume'.  The program is highly competitive.
