Reading Olympics 2009 Reading List

WHAT IS READING OLYMPICS?

Reading Olympics is sponsored by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.   The goal of the Reading Olympics is to increase students’ reading for enjoyment and to promote reading achievement. 

During the school year, participating 9th through 12th grade students collaborate with their teammates to read 45 titles on the Reading Olympics Book List.  These books have been selected by education professionals: librarians, reading specialists, and classroom teachers.  Students are not required to read all 45 books on the list.

Meetings are held once a month after school in the 10-12 Media Center.  Spring-Ford High School faculty sponsors are Ms. Davenport in the 9th Grade Media Center and Mrs. O’Brien in the 10-12 Media Center.
