When you are visitor in the school, EVERYONE must sign-in at the office. All visitors must get a Visitor pass and it must be visible at all times. When leaving the building, you must return to the office to sign-out. It is important that these procedures are followed because safety is the number one priority at Royersford Elementary School! |

When sending your child to school, it is important to check the weather for the entire day. The students go out for recess during the winter months so it is important that they are dressed well (hats, gloves, and a jacket that buttons or zippers up). | |

In first grade, the students eat lunch at 12:45pm. Because of the late lunch, first grade has snack at 11:00am. Each student needs to bring a snack, preferably a healthy choice. Teachers do not have snacks available if your child forgets their snack. | |

When it is time to add funds to your child's lunch account, remember to send the money in a sealed envelope with your child's name and amount enclosed. | |

First grade is a very fundamental step in the building block of your child's education. Since your child is learning to read in first grade, it is vital that they practice their High Frequency Words (Vocabulary Words) on a daily basis. | |

When your child has special, especially gym, library, or art, it is necessary they have the tools needed for their class. For Gym, please send your child to school in athletic sneakers. For Library, please send your child with their library books and CVC assignments (certain students). For Art, please send your child to school with an art smock (an old, oversized shirt that is able to be dirtied). |
