The Everyday Math Program requires all “easy” addition and subtraction facts (Sums to 10 and differences from 10) be secure by the end of Unit 5. As we practice the facts at school using different methods, we ask that you do the same at home.
Every child learns their math facts differently, so please try a variety of methods until you discover one that works for your child.
Suggestions for fact practice include but are not limited to:
Addition /
Subtraction Top-It – Ask your child to teach you this game.
