Kindergarten age 5
-
The
child should be intelligible at least 50% of the
time & have all vowels plus: P, M,
H, N, W, B, K, G, D, F, & Y
-
The
child should be speaking in complete sentences
consisting of at least 4 words.

On the
average the kindergarten student is beginning
to:
- Use prepositional
phrases
- Use plurals, &
present progressives (-ing endings)
- Use regular past
tense (-ed)
- Use possessive
nouns and pronouns
- Use future tense
verbs
- Ask yes/no
questions

The
kindergarten student is able to:
- Indicate the
functions of objects
- Label all common
objects in familiar environments
- Understand basic
positional, quantity, & time concepts
- Sequence 2 steps
visually & verbally

First Grade Age 6-7
- The first grade
student should be able to pronounce the T & NG
sounds.
- The child should
be intelligible at least 65% of the time
