Coaching Staff
Returning
as head coach this season is "Coach D". Coach D taught for 40
years in the Spring-Ford School District and currently works with
various organizations within the community as well as coaching track.
He enjoys coaching the hurdles and with his 25+ years of experience, is
looking to lead the team to another successful season.
Coach Stauffer
Coach Stauffer is in her 11th year with
the Spring-Ford track program. She's coaching the distance
team this spring and also coaches both cross country
and winter track. A 1998 graduate of West Chester University, she
is a Spanish teacher at the 10-12 center. Coach Stauffer's
favorite quote: "You've got to be crazy to run the 400 and some of
you are over qualified."
Coach Kahler
Coach Kahler is in his fourth year
with the Spring-Ford Area School District. He coaches the jumps
for the track program and is also a varsity assistant coach for the
Spring-Ford girls basketball team. He comes to Spring-Ford from
Pocono Mountain (East) School District, where he coached the jumps for
the track team for three years, was a varsity assistant coach
for the girls basketball team for seven years, and taught social
studies, language arts, math, and science for grades 6-8 for eight
years. A 1997 graduate of Penn State University and 2001 graduate
of East Stroudsburg University, he is currently a science teacher in the
7th Grade Center.
Coach Loughead

vault specialist in spring, Coach Loughead works as a health and PE teacher at
Saint Gabriel’s Hall and has coached track for 25+ years at St.
Gabriel's, Perk Valley and Connestoga High Schools. He joined
our winter track program as the field events coach last year. He was the
athletic director at St. Gabriel's for 15 years and coaches football at
the Hill School. Coach Loughead has also coached soccer at
both Methacton and Spring-Ford in the past. He is
married, graduated from West Chester University and lives in Lower
Pottsgrove.
Coach Bergman
Coach Bergman is the sprints coach
and winter track assistant. Fal of 2008, Coach Bergman took on the
role of assistant high school football coach after having worked for two
years with the 7th grade program. He is in his third year as an ES/LS teacher in the 9th grade
center and is a graduate of Widener University where he ran track and
played football.
Coach Giesy
A graduate of Spring-Ford High School and currently
teaching learning support for 5th and 6th graders in the Pottsgrove
School District, we welcome back Miss Giesy. As an athlete at
Millersville and Spring-Ford, she threw all implements and is still the
current school record holder at Spring-Ford in the shot put.
