2007 – 2008 School Year
Welcome to the Upper Providence Elementary Cafeteria, where THE ADVENTURE STARTS HERE!! We strive to serve nutritional foods and encourage your child to try his or her Fruits and Vegetables. One milk is included with your child’s lunch. The choices are: Whole Milk, 2% White Milk, Skim Milk, Low Fat Chocolate Milk, or Strawberry Milk. For students packing a lunch these milks are available for .40cents. Students may purchase at an extra cost, 8oz. water, 8oz. Apple or Orange Juice at .50cents each. Any student who may be lactose intolerant may substitute apple or orange juice for their milk ONLY with a doctor’s note stating such an intolerance.
Students may also purchase a second entrée (hot dog, nuggets, pizza, etc.) for an additional $1.00. This needs to be ordered in the morning with the classroom count.
SNACKS:
Snacks are offered 4 days a week – Monday through Thursday. Only Fruit is offered on Wednesdays.

If snacks are NOT permitted to be bought through your child’s POS account, Please fill out and sign a Snack Limitation Form.(This form will tell the Staff if your child may NOT purchase a snack-OR if there is a limit and which day or days your child may buy a snack. Example: Monday only, OR Tues. & Thurs. only, OR No Snack Allowed.) BUT-it must be printed on the POS System. ALSO, a child may buy a snack on a cash only basis-Parents Choice.

With advanced notice (at least one week), ice cream may be purchased as a classroom treat for your child’s birthday. Parents must check with the child’s teacher and the school nurse to make sure there are no allergies. Thank You!!! Please send money in with your child, stating what day, teacher’s name, and how many ice creams. Cost of ice cream is .50cents.
We ask that you help to encourage your child to eat his or her lunch, to try the new items, and to eat their fruits and vegetables. We strive to serve a well-balanced and nutritional meal for lunch. Together we can teach and raise healthy and happy children!!
