Transition to the Intermediate School

HELPING YOUR CHILD MAKE A SMOOTH TRANSITION

Transitioning to the SFIS 5/6 Center is an exciting time for both students and their families.  The K-6 Elementary Counselors invite you to join them for a presentation designed to assist parents of fourth grade students as they transition to the SFIS 5/6 Center.

As with any change, while it can be an exciting new adventure, there are also some concerns that go along with it.  We are here to help!  The purpose of this presentation is to provide you with the tools to help your child in their new school environment.  We will discuss what to expect, how you can assist and answer questions you may have.

Presentations will be offered at each elementary school.  The sessions will be conducted by the school counselor, as well as a school counselor from the SFIS 5/6 Center.  Listed below are the dates for all sessions.  If you are unable to attend at your home school, please consider attending a session at another school.  Each presentation will provide the same information.

 Presentations are offered as follows:

Tuesday, April 29th – Evans Elementary
