SFASD Messages

As we head home for Thanksgiving break, we want to express our gratitude to all Spring-Ford Community members for doing your part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our schools.

The Spring-Ford Nurses are being urged by the local Department of Health to continue to track students and staff that become positive for COVID or become exposed as close contact over the break and the week following. Data collected will help Spring-Ford to safely reopen to in-person learning again as soon as possible.

Please help us remain current and transparent with our reporting by notifying our COVID liaisons at schoolnurse@spring-ford.net with the following information over break:

  • Student or staff member with the positive test result
    • Name
    • School,
    • Phone number
    • Date symptoms began or test taken
  • Student or staff member exposed or in Close Contact (within 6 feet for over 15 consecutive minutes with or without a mask) with a positive person
    • Name
    • School
    • Phone number
    • Date of the last contact with a positive person

As always, if you or a family member develop symptoms of COVID-19, please consult with a medical professional, isolate from others, and consider COVID testing as recommended by the Department of Health.

We urge you to follow the recommendations of the CDC through the holiday break, as well as the updated Pennsylvania Travel Restrictions, and we wish you a safe and healthy break.

Yours in Health,
Spring-Ford Health Services
