SFASD Messages

Good evening Spring-Ford,

Tomorrow will mark the second day out of school, though it might already feel like the tenth day home.

Our Curriculum and Instruction Department has been developing meaningful enrichment activities that will be available online tomorrow. These activities are designed to reinforce skills and allow opportunities to continue practicing previously taught skills while at home. In addition to the enrichment activities, we are introducing RAMful Learning activities on the RCTV YouTube Channel!

We recognize the next few weeks might be difficult, and our hope is for our community to join together by connecting digitally. In the first episode of RAMful Learning, Dr. Kelly Murray, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, along with her children, will build a learning schedule that works for their family. We’ve seen the colorful, well-intended schedules circulating online but, without family buy-in, sticking to a learning schedule might be harder than it looks. Click here to watch and to meet the Murray family.

I’d also like to thank our local community partners who provide the Spring-Ford community, and neighboring communities, food services throughout the year. Please click the link below to learn more about these organizations:

We will continue to send updates this week with additional information about food services for our Free and Reduced families, the rescheduling of events, enrichment activities, and changes to the third marking period dates.

Thank you,
Dr. David Goodin
Superintendent
