Please bring the following to your transition meeting:
- Your child
- A copy of your child’s current records from MCIU, if a release has not been signed
- Any outside psychological or medical evaluations
- Kindergarten Registration Documents - click here
WHO will be in attendance?
- Case manager from MCIU
- Spring-Ford Area School District Special Education Supervisor
- School Psychologist
- Speech/Language Pathologist
WHAT will we discuss?
- Your child's strengths and areas of need
- Current programming through the MCIU
- The evaluation process and what to expect moving forward
- Permission to Evaluate/Prior Written Notice will be issued
- Consent for Electronic Transmission of Documents
WHERE is the transition meeting held?
WHEN is the transition meeting held?
- Meetings are held December & January
- MCIU case manager will contact you to schedule your meeting
HOW long are the transition meetings?
- You will schedule a 30 minute group time slot
- Within that time slot, there are 4-5 tables (MCIU, Psych/SLP, Registration, Supervisor) that you will rotate through

- Our goal is to build a collaborative and trusting relationship with families
- Our goal is to support you throughout this transition so that we can appropriately program for your child when he/she attends kindergarten!
