The Spring-Ford Area School District seeks a dynamic, collaborative, relationship- oriented individual with integrity, visionary leadership, superior communication skills, and outstanding, transparent administrative ability to lead a diverse district of approximately 8,000 students. The desired candidate must possess experience in achieving high academic performance, creating academic equity, and sound school finance and business management; excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills; experience with development and implementation of curriculum; knowledge of educational and technological best practices; and success in community engagement and involvement. The search process is being coordinated by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit.

Welcome to Spring-Ford, welcome home!
Spring-Ford Area School District (SFASD) is located in the western central portion of Montgomery County and in the eastern central section of Chester County. The district is comprised of the Townships of Limerick and Upper Providence and the Boroughs of Royersford and Spring City. The district is approximately twenty miles northwest of Philadelphia, PA, twenty-five miles south of Reading, Pennsylvania, and five miles north of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. The district has a combined land area of 44.4 square miles, and the 2023 US Census population of the district is 53,580, compared to 47,368 in 2010 and 36,483 in 2000.
The growing community of approximately 53,580 straddles the route 422 bypass and offers the best of both a small-town atmosphere and proximity to metropolitan attractions. The district is characterized by small towns, suburban neighborhoods and rural areas. The location offers easy access to the cultural appeal of Philadelphia, as well as the warmth and nurturing feel of suburban America.

The location of the district provides residents with many employment opportunities in neighboring communities and in the major employment centers of the Delaware Valley.
These include the City of Philadelphia (35 minutes), Valley Forge and King of Prussia Industrial Parks (10 minutes), the City of Reading (20 minutes) and the Great Valley Corporate Center (20 minutes).

October 2025: The search for Spring-Ford’s next Superintendent is well underway and the district is entering a stage where input from parents, students, and community members will help shape the profile of the next district leader. - Input Survey Opens: The district is partnering with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) to lead a nationwide search. Through their Input Survey, your response will help develop a leadership profile that will guide the selection of the next superintendent. This survey should take 10 minutes or less to complete. All responses must be submitted by November 3, 2025, and will be anonymous. The survey results will be presented to the Board and used to develop a comprehensive superintendent profile. - Virtual Listening Sessions: In addition to the Input Survey, the MCIU will hold virtual listening sessions to share your thoughts with the MCIU. Each session will be facilitated by representatives from the MCIU who will guide discussion around the qualities, experiences, and values the next superintendent should bring to Spring-Ford. Two Community Sessions will be held on October 22 at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. A reminder will be sent 30 minutes prior to the start of both meetings, and you will be able to access the Zoom meeting directly here.

The way a student interacts with a teacher, school counselor, principal, instructional assistant, secretary, or any trusted adult can have a lasting impact. As a Spring-Ford employee, you can make an impact on the life of a student. Since 2006, we've recognized this special bond by honoring individuals, nominated by graduating seniors, who have been instrumental in making an impact on their educational experience. This individual may be anyone who is presently or was previously associated with the Spring-Ford Area School District in any capacity. This the Senior Impact Award is given to everyone who is nominated based on the feedback provided by the senior as to how this individual has impacted his/her life while a student of Spring-Ford Area School District.

Q. What is sexual harassment?
A. Sexual harassment means conduct based on sex and can include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature. It can also include offensive remarks, pictures, or descriptions about a person’s sex.
Q. What do I do if I am being sexually harassed or a friend of mine is being sexually harassed?
A. Tell a trusted adult what is happening. A trusted adult can be a teacher, coach, school counselor, principal, or school staff member, as well as a parent or other family member.
Q. What happens if I tell my teacher that I am being sexually harassed?
A. Your teacher will make sure that you are safe and will contact the principal. All allegations of sexual harassment are taken very seriously and are investigated.
Q. What happens in the investigation?
A. The principal will ask you to write a statement – what happened, when did this occur, where did this occur, were there any witnesses, and who was the harasser? You will also be asked what type of resolution you would like as a result of your report.
If the harassment is severe and includes assault, violence, and/or stalking, the police will be contacted as well.
Q. Will the accused know that I made the complaint?
A. Yes, and they have the opportunity to respond to the complaint during the investigation process.
Q. Does the principal talk to everyone named in my statement?
A. Yes. The principal must do due diligence in investigating the allegation and will interview and take statements from witnesses and the harasser.
Q. Will my parent(s) be contacted?
A. Yes, the principal will contact your parent(s) to let them know of your report.
Q. What if I have class/am on the same bus/or on the same team/sport/club as my harasser?
A. The principal will work with you to keep you safe. If you are not comfortable being around the harasser, the principal will work to separate you from them.
Q. Will I be told how the person I am accusing of harassment was disciplined?
A. No, you will not. However, if the harassment continues after the initial allegation was addressed, you should either go to your school counselor, principal or contact the District’s Title IX Coordinator.
