BOARD PRESENTATIONS Upper Providence Elementary School Strings Program Dr. Melissa Patschke, Principal, and Mrs. Sunny Hwang, District-Wide Elementary Strings Teacher, along with Upper Providence Elementary School students presented on the Elementary Strings Program at Upper Providence Elementary School.
Mrs. Hwang said, "We have over 200 4th grade students in the Strings Program this year! We all know the general benefit of music education, but especially the String Program has more profound and unique benefits in my point of view. I think the string instruments are one of the most challenging instruments to learn from the beginning. Retaining what they're learning, encouraging perseverance, and wanting to come to strings class is my main goal when I'm teaching."
