Do seniors have to attend graduation practice?
YES! Practice is mandatory in order to participate in the ceremony.

What do I wear to practice?
You do not have to wear your graduation outfit to practice. You may wear regular clothes that are appropriate for school.

How many graduation tickets do I get?
Each graduate will receive their graduation tickets on the day of graduation practice. As of the release of this information, students will receive 6 tickets. If Graduation is moved indoors, each student will receive 4 tickets. Seating is first come, first served. Gates open at 5:45 p.m.

When do I get the graduation tickets?
Tickets for graduation are given to students at graduation practice.

Do Children need a ticket?
YES. Any person - including children - will require a ticket. Children may use one of your allocated tickets.

Can I get extra tickets?
Yes. You will have the opportunity to request extra tickets after graduation practice. The exact number is not determined yet. The extra tickets will only be valid for an outdoor ceremony.

Submit the Special Seating Request Google Form by May 24, 2024.  This form can be found under the graduation tab on the high school website.  By completing this form, a seat will be reserved on the lower level of the bleachers for those guests requiring this accommodation.

Are there “special” tickets for the special seating section?
No. There are no “special tickets" for special seating. You will need a general graduation ticket. Once you turn in the Special Seating Google Form, a master list will be generated of all the requests. The person requiring special seating and their one guest will be allowed to sit in the section of the bleachers labeled special seating. There will be a high school staff member there to check you in and to assist you. 

Yes. Whether the students will be walking or not must be indicated on the form and the completed form turned in.

What honor cords are allowed to be worn?

SPRING-FORD HONOR CORDS: will be given out at practice or the night of graduation

• Cum Laude (gold), Magna Cum Laude (blue/gold), Summa Cum Laude (blue/gold/white)
• National Honor Society Members (white honor cord) and Armed Forces (red/white/blue honor cord)

WCTS HONOR CORDS: will be given out by the WCTS

• ALL Western Center students may wear the blue and white cord
• National Technical Honor Society: white stole - provided by Western Center
• Cords from other Western Center programs are not permitted.  Please DO NOT bring them with you to the SFHS graduation ceremony.

When will I know what honor cord I will receive?

After fourth marking period grades have been finalized, cumulative grade point averages (GPA) are calculated and honor designation is determined. Final GPA calculation will not be determined until the day of graduation. You will receive any SFAHS honor cord that you earn the night of graduation.

Stadium gates will open at 5:45 p.m. for ticket holder seating. Commencement begins at 7 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: small purses, diaper bags, camera bags and medical bags will be allowed but subject to search. No backpacks or large bags will be allowed.

The graduation ceremony will be postponed to the rain date. If graduation is delayed, there will be a phone message sent home (like on snow days) and there will be a message on the high school web page.

Spring-Ford Area High School invites the Class of 1974 to join their classmates to celebrate their 50th High School Graduation. Before the graduation ceremony, we will hold a gathering for the Alumni and a guest.

5:30 p.m.: Class of 1974 Alumni will gather in the 9th Grade Media Center for an Alumni Reception.
7 p.m.: After the reception, those interested will move to the Commencement Ceremony in Coach McNelly Stadium.

Please RSVP no late than, June 1, 2024 to indicate your intentions so that we may make your visit enjoyable. We will be delighted to have you attend one or both events!
