Dan Miscavage
Dan Miscavage, long-time Assistant Athletic Director, has been selected as Spring-Ford's next Athletic Director. Mr. Miscavage will assume the position on August 1, 2022 following the retirement of Mickey McDaniel, current Athletic Director.
 
Mr. Miscavage is a 1992 graduate of Spring-Ford and started teaching Social Studies at Spring-Ford in 1997. He taught US History and American Government for 25 years. The last 11 years, Mr. Miscavage has served as both a teacher and the Assistant Athletic Director and has undertaken many responsibilities in the Athletic Department.
 
Mr. Miscavage earned his Masters Degree in Sports and Athletic Administration from West Chester University and is a graduate of Millersville University.

Spring-Ford Athletic Training Staff

Kate Daniels MS, MEd, LAT, ATC has been a member of the Athletic Training Staff at Spring-Ford since 1999. She graduated from Springfield College in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Athletic Training. She received her master's degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in 2009. She completed her second master's degree in Medical Science from University of South Florida in 2015. In addition to her duties at Spring-Ford, Ms. Daniels also serves as a Clinical Preceptor for students enrolled both Immaculata University and West Chester University Master’s of Athletic Training Programs. Ms. Daniels is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania. She is also certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers.

 

 

Dan Holman MEd, LAT, ATC has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Spring-Ford since 1996. Mr. Holman completed his undergraduate studies in Exercise Science/Sports Medicine at University of Massachusetts at Boston. He received his Master of Education degree from Temple University. In addition to his duties at Spring-Ford, Mr. Holman is an adjunct instructor in the Athletic Training Program at Immaculata University.  He is also a Level 1 Master Preceptor and serves as a Clinical Preceptor to students enrolled in the Athletic Training Masters programs at Immaculata University and West Chester University.  Mr. Holman is licensed as an Athletic Trainer by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine and is certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers.

Riane Casper MS, LAT, ATC has been a member of the Athletic Training Staff at Spring-Ford Area School district since 2008. Prior to 2008 she held an outreach position for 4 years. She graduated from The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine. She obtained her master’s degree in Applied Exercise Science; Human Movement Science Concentration at Concordia University of Chicago in 2021. Mrs. Casper is licensed by the State of Pennsylvania. She is also certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers.

Max Coulter, MS,LAT, ATC has been a member of the Athletic Training Staff at Spring-Ford Area School district since the Fall of 2022. Mr. Coulter received his Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Physiology along with a minor in Human Performance Assessment from Ursinus College in 2019. He completed his Master’s degree in Athletic Training from West Chester University in 2021. Mr. Coulter spent his first year as an athletic trainer at Swarthmore College before joining the Spring-Ford staff in 2022. He is also certified in CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers.
