Vex Robotic Competition: This Weekend (and, it's FREE)!
Spring-Ford High School’s Tech Club and the Spring-Ford Rambots Robotics Team will be hosting their annual VEX Robotics Competition on Saturday February 15, 2020 in the 9th Grade Center. The event is FREE to spectators!
9 a.m.: Opening ceremonies
9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.: Tournament! Stop by to watch multiple rounds, taking place in the gym!
This is an exciting opportunity to see the gym transformed into a robot battle ground and to see the results of all the hard work our students have put into designing, building, and programming their robots all year in preparation for competition season.
The event will also feature Spring-Ford’s own Dan Leppold, a NASA Administration Solar System Ambassador, who will be showcasing space artifacts such as meteorite samples and a piece of the Space Shuttle. You will be able to program a camera on the International Space Station to take your own photograph of a landform or city on Earth that the station is passing over. You can also learn about NASA initiatives in space robotic mining for use on the moon, an asteroid, or even on Mars!
This is sure to be an exciting day of STEM you don’t want to miss!

This school year, Spring-Ford partnered with Aramark which has allowed the district an opportunity to improve the quality of food offered to our students and staff. Spring-Ford is, essentially, a large restaurant serving thousands of customers a day. This year we have had the unique opportunity to bring in high-quality and reasonably priced lunches that fuel everyone from our elite high school athletes to the pickiest of eaters.
As we are at the mid-year park, Aramark is interested in gathering parent feedback. Please click here to complete a mid-year feedback survey.
