Due to forecasted weather, all Spring-Ford schools will dismiss early today, May 16, 2022.

  • Grades 9 through 12 will dismiss at 1:20 p.m.
  • Grades 7 and 8 will dismiss at 1:40 p.m.
  • 1st through 6th grade will dismiss at 2:40 p.m. 
  • There will be no afternoon kindergarten. 
  • All after-school and evening activities are canceled or postponed.
  • PM Western Center students will dismiss early. 
  • Afternoon transportation will not be provided to Technical College High School Pickering Campus.
  • At this time, the Spring-Ford School Board Work Session Meeting ​will be held as scheduled.

REMINDER: There will be no school for students tomorrow May 17 for a scheduled Staff In-Service Day.

SFASD is a Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardee

The U.S. Department of Education announced today that the Spring-Ford Area School is among the 2022 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Awardees. The aim of U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools (ED-GRS) is to inspire schools, districts, and institutions of higher education to strive for 21st-century excellence by highlighting school sustainability practices and resources that all can employ.

Additional Information from Mr. Rizzo

As a result of the recent CDC update, Spring-Ford will loosen the enforcement of the current mask mandate in all of our buildings and when riding school transportation until such time as the School Board can take action on anticipated changes to the Health and Safety Plan Monday evening.
