Weekly Update with Mr. Rizzo: Weekly Update with Mr. Rizzo
This week, Mr. Rizzo talks about: Spring-Ford SNAP needs your help, reporting COVID cases after Spring Break, and the NAMM Foundation Best Communities for Music Education award.

NAMM Foundation Best Communities for Music Education Award
For the 6th year in a row, the Spring-Ford Area School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education!

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Spring-Ford answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs. Responses were verified with school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.

Special thanks to the students, parents, teachers, administrators, and board members who have worked so hard to make Spring-Ford's music program a success! Thanks to your support, every child can learn and grow with music.

As always, if a student does not feel well or has symptoms of COVID-19, has been exposed to a COVID positive individual, or has tested positive, they should remain home from school until cleared to return.
