JUST IN: Best Community for Music Education
For the seventh year in a row, Spring-Ford Area School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education. Now in its 24th year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, Spring-Ford answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were verified by school officials and reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas. Please take a moment to congratulate your student's music teacher!

Upcoming Water Testing Information
In 2019 Spring-Ford tested for lead in water at drinking outlets and sinks used for water consumption. This testing was based on changes in PA School Code focusing on water quality in Pennsylvania schools. When we developed the lead in water testing plan, we adopted a 3-year testing cycle. Testing was supposed to reoccur in 2022 but due to COVID protocols that had drinking outlets taken out of service, so we deferred to 2023.

Again, there is no evidence of water quality issues in any school or building and this is our proactive approach to assure water quality in our schools. Below are the sampling dates for all buildings and results will be shared on the district website when available.

More information pertaining to water testing is available online.
