May 10 - National School Nurses' Day!
In 1974, President Ford proclaimed School Nurse Day as a holiday for everyone to celebrate. On this day, school nurses have been recognized and celebrated for their continuous effort in the health and well-being of students everywhere.
Thank you for your endless hours of work planning and preparing for this school year, for answering countless questions and communicating with families, students, and staff, and for your patience and professionalism through it all.

Celebrate Spring-Ford's XL Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Day is typically recognized the first Tuesday of the month and usually falls in line with Teacher Appreciation Week. Teacher Appreciation Week is the first full week of the month. This year, NEA and PTO Today pushed the week-long celebration to May 8-12, as the week prior isn’t an actual full week. Join Spring-Ford online in celebrating our teachers for an extra large Teacher Appreciation Week celebration from May 1-12. Check Spring-Ford's Facebook and Instagram accounts for teacher highlights, a special Teacher Appreciation video on May 2nd, and a message to our School Nurses on May 10th.
Live From the Red Carpet Prom Show
Just like the Oscars, Emmys, or People’s Choice, Ram Country TV will be Live from the Red Carpet at the Senior Prom on May 13th! Hosts Kelly German and John Brennan will all the important questions: how'd you get here, where'd you get your dress, what are you most looking forward to, and so much more! New this year, Man on the Street Bill Culp will catch prom-goers on their way in.
Mrs. German shopped the Spring-Ford SNAP Prom Dress Boutique for her show attire, and Mr. Brennan will be decked out in a tux from the Red Carpet Show Sponsor, Sagets Formal Wear. Live From the Red Carpet will air on RCTV’s YouTube channel starting at 5:50 p.m.
Community Connection With Mr. Rizzo and Mrs. Hermans
Join Mr. Robert Rizzo, Superintendent, and School Board President Erica Hermans for a series of informal conversations in the community. This is an opportunity for families and community members to visit with the superintendent, have brief conversations about important issues, and ask questions. All Spring-Ford community members, whether parents of students in the districts or not, are invited to attend.
Attendees are invited to drop-in any time during the final one-hour session of the year:

Summer R.A.M.S.
We are excited to share with you a summer opportunity for Spring-Ford students who are currently enrolled in grades 5-8 (for the 2022-2023 school year). Summer R.A.M.S (Reading and Math Success) is an optional program to support students in reading and math. Students who may be experiencing learning loss or gaps in their learning may choose to participate in in-person sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide targeted support and intervention in the areas of reading and math. If you are interested in this program for your child, please review the following information. Program Information:
- Grade 5 (Reading and Math combined)
- Grade 6 (Reading and Math combined)
- Grade 7 (Reading only)
Grade 8 (Reading only)
Available sessions:
- Session #1 July10th to July 20th - Student hours 9:15-12:30
- Session #2 July 24th to August 3rd - Student hours 9:15-12:30
Please note: All sessions will operate Monday-Thursday.
Location: Grades 5-8: 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468. Families must provide their own transportation to and from program.

Oaks PTA Blood Drive - May 16
An estimated 38 percent of Americans are eligible to give blood, but of those, less than 10 percent actually donate each year. If you are healthy and eligible, please come out to donate on Spring-Ford's Inservice Day, May 16th. Most donations take about an hour, so book your appointment, roll up your sleeve and become a part of the lifesaving mission of the Red Cross and Oaks Elementary. If you don’t know if you’re eligible, show up to find out! Thank you for making Oaks Elementary such a success. Let’s make an impact on May 16th by adding it to our list of great accomplishments!

Curriculum Preview Night: Amplify K-5 ELA
Join the Spring-Ford Curriculum Team on May 30th to view the new ELA curriculum resources, Amplify, and speak with the Elementary Curriculum Supervisor. This event is intended for parents of students in grades Kindergarten through 5.
When: May 30 from 6:30-8 p.m. This will be open house style for K-5 parents to come and go anytime during that time frame.

Meet the Instrument Night
Students entering 4th grade for the coming 2023-2024 school can sign-up and learn a Band or Orchestra instrument! On Thursday, June 1st the Music Department is holding a Meet the Instrument Night at the 7th Grade Center from 5-6:16 p.m. or 6:30-7:45 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Students will get to try out three instruments of their choice. Click here to register.
Free Community Night
Spring-Ford SNAP will open the doors for a FREE sneak peek of this year's Post-Prom Event! SNAP invites the community to visit Arnold's in Oaks to see the venue and see what senior students will experience after Prom. Play games, get your face painted, jump in the bouncy house, and get some coupons for the future! This is a FREE event, though donations are greatly appreciated!
