Walter Gould Award Recipient
Each year the Norristown Chapter of Football Officials selects an individual to be awarded the Walter Gould Award. This award is presented to an individual who unselfishly gives of their time to the game of football. The individual works without compensation to assist either a school or local youth league, working the snack bar, collecting fees, ticket taking, field maintenance, administrative functions, PA announcer etc. This person is usually the first to arrive and the last to leave. This year, the award is being presented to Spring-Ford senior, Cherish McLaughlin. Cherish has been the ball girl for Spring-Ford football for the past two seasons and is always attentive and ready to go. Her dedication to her craft and seamless assistance with the officials help with the smooth administration of the football game from the sideline. Congratulations, Cherish!

Spring-Ford Area High School Theatre presents the Fall Play... Radium Girls, by D. W. Gregory
In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage—until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease. Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. As the case goes on, however, Grace finds herself battling not just with the U.S. Radium Corporation, but with her own family and friends, who fear that her campaign for justice will backfire. Called a "powerful" and "engrossing" drama by critics, Radium Girls offers a wry, unflinching look at the peculiarly American obsessions with health, wealth, and the commercialization of science.

WHEN: Friday, November 3 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 4 at 1 and 7 p.m.
WHERE: Spring-Ford Area High School Auditorium

National Native American Heritage Month
National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated each year in November. It's a time to celebrate the traditions and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation. Students in 6th grade learned about the history of area Native Americans through a Totem Pole Project. Teams of students selected and researched the history of Native American Tribes to present to classmates. Click here to watch a Spotlight Video from Ram Country TV to learn more.
