American Education Week Message
This year, American Education Week is November 14-18, and we encourage our community to celebrate public education by sending a message through Many Thanks, Spring-Ford!

American Education Week, which was first celebrated in 1921 by the National Education Association, is an opportunity to celebrate public education, to inform the community of the accomplishments and needs of public schools, and to honor teachers and staff who are making a difference in schools.

Learning Loss Plan Feedback Form
Spring-Ford's Learning Loss Plan was presented on November 15th, 2021 to the School Board for approval, which includes activities such as summer programming, tutoring,  and an intervention program for math and reading, all of which were funded by ARP ESSER grant funding.

As part of the grant program, we are given specific parameters for how this money can be spent. Part of the requirements include programs such as Reading Intervention, Summer Enrichment Programs, student SEL, Professional Development on SEL, and After School Programs. We are asking for staff and parent input so that we can better understand the areas where you may be seeing a need to support your student(s) as we return to a normal school year. Please click here to provide your feedback.

Cold Weather is Coming, Know the Plan!
This year, Spring-Ford Area School District built one Emergency Day into the calendar and plans to utilize Virtual or Flexible Instruction Days (FID) in case of an emergency closure. A Virtual Day or FID will be used for an unplanned school closure and will eliminate the need for a make-up days at the end of the year. On a weather related Virtual Day, students will follow a modified schedule with virtual lessons via Zoom or Teams synchronously for a portion of each period. If there is a need to call a Snow Day, the first Snow Day of the year will be a “traditional” Snow Day and April 5, 2023 will change to an In-Person school day.
