Save the Date: Bee Kind Ella Day
September 20 is #BeeKindElla Day! Help us in continuing the tradition of keeping Ella's spirit alive through friendship, community and kindness. Ella Smith was the definition of light and love. Her smile infectious, her grit unmatched and her spirit resonated with everyone she came into contact with. She believed with her entire soul that kindness mattered, right up until she lost her battle with cancer in the spring of 2020. With September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, once again we are asking the Spring-Ford community to wear blue and do something kind for someone else on September 20th in Ella's honor.

Classroom Spotlight: Mr. Hull's Class
Mr. Hull’s Ram QUEST students kicked off the new school year by revisiting their Engineering Journal. Each year, Mr. Hull encourages students to add to their Engineering Journal by with new inventions, drawings, design plans, and computer code projects. Students receive their journals in 1st grade, and take four years of projects with them when they exit 4th grade.

Ram QUEST is a class where students engage in learning experiences in which they think critically and creatively to solve problems, to inquire, and to explore. Students learn by asking and answering questions, creating plans, experiencing challenges, and engaging in trial and error. Students collaborate, communicate, present solutions, and manage technology effectively. The goal is to use science and math topics to get students engaged in exploration and learning using labs and other age-appropriate activities.
