Multicultural Thanksgiving

We will be hosting a Multicultural Thanksgiving Dinner for 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and their families on Friday, November, 22, from 6:00pm-8:00pm in the 5/6/7 Center Cafeteria. Please review the attached form and return completed with your student by November 19th. Looking forward to seeing many of you at this event. RSVP Form

The 5th grade end of year celebration will be an EXTRAVAGANZA held during the day and on school grounds. It's sure to be an exciting and fun-filled day!!!! Please return payment of $30.00 in an envelope marked EXTRAVAGANZA with your child's name to the appropriate homeroom teacher by Friday, January 31, 2020. Our school yearbook will only remain at the lowest price of $25 for 9 more days! On Sunday, December 1st, the price changes to $30.

This school year, Creative Health Services, in cooperation with the 5th/6th Grade Center Student Assistance Program (SAP), will be offering interactive skill building support groups. These groups are designed to provide supportive interventions to increase students' coping skills and are completely voluntary. Groups will meet once a week for 6 to 8 weeks during the school day. It is possible students may have to miss class time to participate. Click here for more info and permission slip.

The 5th/6th Grade Homework Club is currently accepting applicants for the 2019-2020 school year. Participation is based on referral from teachers, parents, and/or counselors.The club is held every Monday and Wednesday from 3:45 PM until 4:45 PM and is an excellent resource for our 5th and 6th grade students. Bus Status App

Wondering if your child's bus is running late? Download the new "Bus Status" app for iOS and Android to receive bus notifications straight to your phone.

The Bus Status app displays up to date bus information for schools and school districts. The app sends out push notifications for cancelled, delayed, or early buses, keeping parents and students updated. Select your bus route as a favorite to receive notifications for special announcements and late bus information. See instructions below to use this new app.

The Spring-Ford Area School District was recently selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to receive a $35,000 grant through the PAsmart Program to grow the current Ram QUEST program in grades 1 through 6. RAM Quest is a class where students engage in authentic learning experiences in which they have to think critically and creatively to solve problems, to inquire, and to explore. The Pennsylvania Department of Education just launched the Future Ready PA Index, an online, one-stop shop that provides a clear and easy-to-navigate platform for viewing information on student and school success. The Future Ready PA Index moves beyond focusing solely on standardized test results to evaluate success by using a collection of indicators, which illustrate academic proficiency, college and career readiness, and more. If you plan on picking your student up on a regular basis each week at normal dismissal time, please complete a Recurring Parent Pick-up Form. Click here for form. Parent Pick up is at Door # 12 in the back of the building at 3:40 pm. Please park and enter Door 12 to sign your student out. Please be sure to have indentification with you at the time of pick up. Otherwise, in the event you need to pick up your student at parent pick up on a specific day, please send in a hand written note to the teacher and specify the name of the person who will pick the student up.
