COST: $20 - CHECKS PAYABLE TO DR. BROSIUS

2019-2019 SPORTS REGISTRATION: All students interested in getting a physical, must complete the online sports registration BEFORE attending the physical to ensure registration is complete and eligible for tryouts. ONLINE SPORTS REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 25TH. All sports physicals for the 2019-2020 school year must be performed after June 1, 2019. Physicals can be done by the students family physician or at the school on the above dates.

The Art Show and Charity Bake Sale is scheduled for Thursday, May 23, from 6pm - 8pm. Students' art will be displayed in the hallways on both levels of the building.

Additionally, the art department has partnered with Artome to display a framed piece of art from every 5th and 6th grade student in the cafeteria. Parents and guardians have the opportunity to purchase their students' framed art for $25, cash or check. All proceeds benefit the 5/6 art department. Click on link for order form.

5/6 Art Show

Also in the cafeteria, there will be a bake sale with proceeds benefiting Main Line Animal Rescue. Please consider donating homemade or store-bought baked goods for this cause. Cookies, brownies and other single-serve items are the best.

Spirit Wear will be for sale, benefiting 5/6 Home & School.

If you're able to attend, please sign up for a short shift to help the evening run smoothly. Help is needed collecting payments, helping familes find their student's art, working the bake sale table and working the spirit wear table.

The 5/6 Book Fair will be held in the media center from May 16th - May 24, 2019. A great variety of books and accessories are available. Students will be visiting the book fair with their homeroom. There is also a parent night on Thursday, May 23rd from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Great News! Nurses week is coming and once again SF Nurses are collecting needed items for Open Door. This year we are collecting Paper products! (Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Tissues)

Hello to the beginner or advance shutterbugs of the 5/6 Center! If you are interested in learning a bit more about photography composition, editing, and storage, then the Photography Club is right up your alley! All levels of experience and cameras are welcome. It doesn't matter if it's a phone or a DSLR! The Photography Club will meet after school on Wednesdays from 3:40 pm - 4:40 pm. Students are allowed to bring in the camera of their choice. Students will need a ride home at 4:40 pm. Because of the hight interest of this club, participants will be selected by a lottery and will be notified by 4/8/19. Spring-Ford Intermediate School will be hosting its 2nd annual Basket Raffle to help raise money for an end of the year school wide event. Basket Raffle begins May 6th - 23rd! Please see the attached flyer for a list of all baskets available as well as the items included in each basket.

Tickets will be on sale the following dates:

  • Monday, May 6th at the 5th grade Spring Concert
  • Wednesday, May 8th at the 6th grade Spring Concert
  • Monday, May 13th through Friday, May 17th (student purchase days during homeroom)
  • Thursday, May 23rd at the 5/6 Art Show

Tickets may be purchased for:

  • 1 ticket for $1
  • 6 tickets for $5
  • 12 tickets for $10
  • 25 tickets for $20

To ensure basket winners are properly identified, please be prepared to write the following on the back of each ticket:

  • Name
  • Student name
  • Student homeroom number
  • Phone number

Winning tickets will be pulled on morning announcements Friday, May 24th. Arrangements can be made for basket pick-up after school.

Attention all runners! SFIS Running Club will be starting soon. If you are interested in participating and are dedicated to running (not walking) , please pick up a permission slip from Mrs. Reidnauer's room W203 or the counseling office. We will be running 2 groups this year, a Monday group and a Wednesday group. You must be available to participate on one of these days. All permission slips are due to Mrs. Reidnauer by Thursday, February 14th. Due to the number of participants, running club members will be selected by lottery. An announcement will be made once members have been selected.

The Spring-Ford Area School District was recently selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to receive a $35,000 grant through the PAsmart Program to grow the current Ram QUEST program in grades 1 through 6. RAM Quest is a class where students engage in authentic learning experiences in which they have to think critically and creatively to solve problems, to inquire, and to explore. If you plan on picking your student up on a regular basis each week at normal dismissal time, please complete a Recurring Parent Pick-up Form. Click here for form. Parent Pick up is at Door # 12 in the back of the building at 3:40 pm. Please park and enter Door 12 to sign your student out. Please be sure to have indentification with you at the time of pick up. Otherwise, in the event you need to pick up your student at parent pick up on a specific day, please send in a hand written note to the teacher and specify the name of the person who will pick the student up.

2019 Commencement Ceremony

Spring-Ford Area High School's Graduation Ceremony will be held on FRIDAY, June 14, 2019 at 7 p.m. - rain or shine! The location is dependent upon the weather. If the skies are clear, the ceremony will take place outside in Coach McNelly Stadium. If inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the 10-12th Grade Center.
