Due to the extra snow day on March 7th, Spring-Ford's spring break was cut short by one day. Wednesday, March 28th is now a official school day.
The 7th Grade Field Trip to Mermaid Lake in Blue Bell, PA will take place on Friday, June 8th. The rain date has been scheduled for Monday, June 11th. The trip is $15.00 which includes transportation, admission to the lake, and lunch. Students will be transported by bus and will depart from the 7th Grade Center at approximately 9:30 a.m and return by 2:15 p.m. Click here for more information. Are you looking for an after-school activity? Then the 7th Grade Walking Club is for you! The Walking Club will meet after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 - 4:00 pm. You will need a ride home promptly at 4:00. Please dress as needed for the weather. If the weather is not good, we will keep active indoors. Click here for the schedule. The National "take your child to work day" is coming up on Thursday April 26, 2018. If your student will be participating in a work related function that day (full day or half) please consider the following guidelines that have been established to streamline attendance for the day.
Please fill out a trip form for the absence in advance. The student's teachers will sign it as well as the House Principal. You will not have to call the absentee line in the morning and upon return your student will be able to make up any work missed. Please note that if your student has exceeded 10 days of absence during the school year, the request will be denied. Attendance records can be accessed through skyward.

Beginning with the class of 2006, SFASD has honored individuals nominated by graduating seniors who have made an impact on their educational experience. A dinner is held for nominees and the seniors who nominated them to celebrate how each individual has impacted his/her life.

Do you have lots of facts and knowledge in your brain? Do you like to answer the questions on Jeopardy? Then you should join the 7th Grade Knowledge Bowl Club. A team consisting of 6 students will be selected from the club members to compete in the Chester County Knowledge Bowl The Knowledge Bowl Club will meet in Mrs. Snelling's room E254 on Mondays from February 5th througth April 23, 2018 from 2:50 pm - 4:00 pm. The Friends and the Community Club is collecting plastic bottle caps to create an upcycled school mural. Please send in cleaned plastic bottle caps of all sizes and colors. Avoid sending in caps that have been exposed to chemicals. Caps from drinks, laundry detergent, jars, baby food pouches, etc. will work great! The collection is ongoing, students can give collected caps to their homeroom teachers.

The Spring-Ford Board of School Directors approved the 2018-2019 School Calendar during the February 26, 2018 Board Meeting. The first day of school will be August 27, 2018 and the tentative last day of school will be June 14, 2019. The calendar will have three emergency days built-in, in the event of school cancellations. If additional days are needed, the following days will be converted into student/teacher school days: November 19, 2018; November 20, 2018; February 18, 2019; April 17 and/or April 18, 2019. The school district's special education plan is an action plan that describes the local Board of School Director's commitment to ensure that a quality education will be provided to each of its students with a disability eligible for special education, over the upcoming three years. The content of the Special Education Plan describes the special education program and services that are provided within a school district and those special education programs and services which are accessed by the school district from outside the school district's geographical boundaries.
