A written note from the parent stating the date and time of pick up is required. All students must be picked up by 3:10. Please contact Mrs. Glass with any questions.
Books: Students may check out 2 books for 2 cycles. (We are on a 6 day cycle). Students may renew a book for up to 2 times if no other materials are overdue and no other student has put a hold on that book.
Magazines: Students may check out one magazine in addition to their 2 books. Magazines are checked out for 2 cycles.
Reference Books: Some reference books are permitted to circulate overnight only. These books can be checked out after last period and must be returned by the end of homeroom the next day.

Hello, my name is Mrs. Glass. I am the Media Center Specialist at Spring-Ford's 7th Grade Center. I have been teaching for 23 years, my first 8 years of teaching were in the elementary classroom. This is my 19th year at Spring-Ford.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Millersville University, my Masters degree in Elementary Education from West Chester University, and my Masters degree in Library Science from Kutztown University.
In my position at the 7th Grade Center, I have the opportunity to work with students and staff alike. Not only am I here to assist them with locating books and online sources to support their interest and learning, I am also here to teach lessons focusing on skills necessary to be successful with their current and future research projects. These lessons include locating, evaluating and documenting sources. We also cover Spring-Ford's Plagiarism Policy and how to accurately use in-text citations.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions!
Spring-Ford School District uses MLA style for bibliographic citations. A packet detailing the steps for writing Bibliographies using MLA style will be given to each student at the 7th Grade Center during their lessons in the Media Center. Many teachers have copies for classroom use and the media center has copies for students to use while researching in the Media Center. If students lose their Bibliography packet, students can print out the formats listed in the section at the top of this page titled "Bibliography Formats." This year's booklet has a bright pink cover.
