8th Grade Center

For planning purposes, Middle School Fall Sports are scheduled to start on Monday, September 21.  Athletes should be prepared to practice after school from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and will need to provide their own transportation.  Please be sure your student has registered online and sent in the PIAA required forms, Section 5 Health History (completed and signed by the parent and student) and Section 6 CIPPE Physical (administered by a doctor June 1, 2020 or after). 

The deadline for registration is Thursday, September 17 by noon, registrations will not be accepted late.

Forms are to be turned in as below:

  • 8th Grade: To Mr. Harrison at the 8th grade center
  • 7th Grade:  To Mr. Seislove at the 7th grade center

Middle School Volleyball Try-out Dates

Monday 9/21 & Tuesday 9/22 - 8th Grade (Last Names A-R)

Wednesday 9/23 & Thursday 9/24 - 8th Grade (Last Names S-Z) & 7th Grade (Last Names A-K)

Friday 9/25 & Monday 9/28 - 7th Grade (Last Names L-Z)

All students should report to the back of the 5/6-7 building near doors 21 and 22 and remain in their car until a coach checks in with them.

A practice schedule will come at a later time.


7th and 8th Grade Boys' Soccer

8th Grade Boys' Soccer tryouts will be on Monday, September 21st and Tuesday, September 22nd.  7th Grade Boys' Soccer tryouts will be on Wednesday, September 23rd and Thursday, September 24th.  Tryouts for both 7th and 8th grades will begin at 3:30 and end at 5:00, and all athletes must have a ride home at 5 p.m.  All players will be dropped off in the Faculty Parking Lot behind the 9th Grade Center, and before they leave their car, they are required to get their temperature checked (must be below 100.4) and logged by one of the Middle School Boys' Soccer Coaches. Athletes are required to wear a face covering at all times, unless they are actively participating in a drill/game.  Athletes are to show up dressed with appropriate attire upon arrive at the Eighth Grade Center.


Middle School Cross Country

Middle School Cross Country starts Monday, Sept. 21st for 8th graders and Tuesday, Sept. 22nd for 7th graders.  Be dressed for practice, wear a mask, and bring a water bottle.  Practice will be from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.  Your parents should drop you off and pick you up by the tennis courts at the 9th Grade Center.  Before athletes leave their car, they are required to get their temperature checked (must be below 100.4)  and logged by one of the coaches.  Athletes are required to wear a face covering at all times, unless they are actively participating in a drill/game.  Make sure you have your parents pick you up at 5 p.m. sharp!!


As per the current Pioneer Athletic Conference regulations, we are able to provide each student participant of the home school with two PAC vouchers from their coach/director. You must bring the vouchers to the main ticket booth at Coach McNelly Stadium and purchase your ticket(s) for entry. All tickets are $5 each. No passes will be accepted for free admission. All attendees must be seated 6 feet apart (with the exception of those living in the same household). In addition, face coverings are required at all times.

Student Attendance

Reminder, on-line learning is now mandatory. Going forward, our on-line learning will count as regular school days. Please call the Attendance Hotline at (610) – 705 - 6002 and use the fourth option from the main menu or email dalle@spring-ford.net if your child is ill and not able to complete their online assignments for the day. This is the same procedure that was previously used throughout the current school year.

East student must login to their individual Google Classroom to log attendance each day. Each day, attendance will be recorded with a posted “Attendance Question of the Day.”

· K-4: Each day the homeroom teachers will create a “question” in the google classroom under classwork. The questions should be labeled – “Attendance Check-In: Question of the Day”

· Grades 5-6: Every day each class (pair of switch teachers) will create a “question” in the google classroom under classwork. The Questions should be labeled – “Attendance Check-In: Question of the Day”

· Grade 7-12: Every day, each class will create a “question” in the google classroom under classwork. The Questions should be labeled – “Attendance Check-In: Question of the Day”

· Attendance can be logged anytime during the day, up until 11:59 PM. Teachers will record student attendance for each class period and the attendance secretary will then record student attendance into Skyward.
