2018-19 Athletic Registration

Registration for sports participation in the 2018-19 school year is beginning now. Please see the attached for detailed information regarding online registration , sports physical dates and deadlines. For tryout eligibility please be sure all documents are submitted by the deadlines.

School Sports Physical Dates

Students currently in grades 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th physicals will be held on Friday, June 1 at the 9th Grade Center (enter door #1 Gym Lobby to check in):

BOYS Physicals: 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

GIRLS Physicals: 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.

If you cannot attend Physicals due to the DANCE

Boys should come to the 7th GC on June 7th and Girls on June 11th

Bring Section 5 (completed) & Section 6 forms with you as well as $20 cash or check made out to Dr. Brosius



GIRLS 9TH GRADE TENNIS

There will be an informational sign-up meeting for any 8th grade girl interested in playing on the High School Tennis team on Wednesday, May 23rd from 2:45-3:15 in the 8th Grade Gym. It is very important to attend if you plan on trying out for the team in August.

DORNEY PARK TRIP

Our annual class trip for ELIGIBLE student to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Parents must complete the Field Trip Medical/Permission Form and submit the payment of $60. If a parent wishes to chaperone the trip they will need to complete the Chaperone Form and submit the payment of $60. Click here for the Parent Information Letter.


MESSAGE FROM THE ROYERSFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT

We have been advised by the Royersford Police Department that the parking spaces on Washington Street, from 7th Ave to the Needleworks building (in front of the row homes) are now Permit Parking Only. There is no allowed non-permit time limit. (It used to be 2 hours non-permit). If you have any questions, please contact the Royersford Police Department.

Spring-Ford students currently enrolled in grades 4-12 are invited to participate in the 5-week Summer Band Lesson Program. This program offers one-on-one music lessons on band instruments on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This series of five weekly private lessons taught by the Spring-Ford Music Teachers and local music specialists will begin on Tuesday, June 26 and will conclude on Thursday, July 26. Daytime lessons will be scheduled in half-hour increments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lessons will be held in the 7th Grade Center music rooms.

Band instruments offered for the Summer Lesson Program include woodwinds, brass and percussion. Please click here to register, and to see specific instruments.

Register early, as availability is limited and fills quickly. Registration is due no later than Friday, June 1, 2018. If you have any questions please contact summer lesson coordinator, Ms. Sarah Fralich, at Evans Elementary sbeck@spring-ford.net with SUMMER MUSIC LESSONS in the subject line.

REMINDER: Join us for the 4th Grade Transition Night, May 31, 2018 at 7 p.m. Meet Mrs. Nuneviller and the 5th Grade House Principal, participate in a parent presentation and enjoy a self-guided tour. This event is for parents/guardians only and will be held in the 5th grade cafeteria.

All parents of 4th grade students with IEP's are invited to attend an informational meet and greet with Christine Raber, Supervisor of Special Education Grades 5-8, and staff in room W148 beginning at 6 p.m.

2018-2019 School Calendar

The Spring-Ford Board of School Directors approved the 2018-2019 School Calendar during the February 26, 2018 Board Meeting. The first day of school will be August 27, 2018 and the tentative last day of school will be June 14, 2019. The calendar will have three emergency days built-in, in the event of school cancellations. If additional days are needed, the following days will be converted into student/teacher school days: November 19, 2018; November 20, 2018; February 18, 2019; April 17 and/or April 18, 2019. These days are designated as additional emergency make-up days and there exists a possibility that they may be used. Click here to view the full calendar.
