SFASD Math + Literacy Night

Are you ready to "fall" into fun!? Join us for Spring-Ford Family Math and Literacy Night on Monday, November 4, 2019. Students in grades K-6, along with their parents, will have fun at this open-house style event:

  • Visit any station in any order you choose
  • Participate in hands-on activities
  • Raffles and Prizes will be available
  • Admission is FREE, but attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good.

Spring-Ford Family Math and Literacy Night is hosted by the SFASD Curriculum and Instruction team, and will have many teachers to support student and family learning.

The end of the 1st marking period is November 1, 2019. Report cards will be available on Skyward for parents to view on November 13, 2019, after 4:00 PM. FYI ... Kindergarten and 1st grade do not receive report cards for the 1st marking period.

Absentee Phone Line ... if your child will be absent, please call Brooke at 610-705-6006 by 8:30 AM and select option "4" for the Absentee Phone Line. Please state your child's name, the date of the absence, the teacher's name, and the reason for the absence. Please call each day of your child's absence. Remember to send in a written excuse note when your child returns to school.

Adult-Sponsored Trips ... If you are taking your child(ren) out of school for a trip (even if it is only for one day), please complete an Adult-Sponsored Trip Form which can be found on the district website under "District Forms". This form should be completed and sent in to school at least five (5) days before you are leaving for your trip.

Parent Pick-Up ... If you will be picking up your child for an early dismissal or for an end-of-day pick-up at 3:40 PM, please send your child to school with a note to give to his/her teacher. This note will then be sent to the office.

Bus Status App

Wondering if your child's bus is running late? Download the new "Bus Status" app for iOS and Android to receive bus notifications straight to your phone.

The Bus Status app displays up to date bus information for schools and school districts. The app sends out push notifications for cancelled, delayed, or early buses, keeping parents and students updated. Select your bus route as a favorite to receive notifications for special announcements and late bus information. See instructions below to use this new app.

The Spring-Ford Area School District was recently selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education to receive a $35,000 grant through the PAsmart Program to grow the current Ram QUEST program in grades 1 through 6. RAM Quest is a class where students engage in authentic learning experiences in which they have to think critically and creatively to solve problems, to inquire, and to explore.
