Hello, Evans families and students!

I’m Jason Thompson, and I am proud to serve as your principal. At Evans, our commitment goes beyond academic excellence; my top priority is to ensure that every student and staff member feels seen, supported, and celebrated within a warm, welcoming environment. 

This year, we are excited to embrace our 2026-27 school theme: 'YOUnique and United,' one which honors our individual strengths while celebrating what we achieve together.

High achievement occurs best when home and school work together. We are committed to partnering and communicating with our families to assist students in developing the skills, character traits, and productive routines required to thrive both as individuals and as members of our learning community.

To foster a consistently positive school environment, we utilize the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) framework. We encourage all students to employ our '3 Be’s': Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Be Safe.

Open and consistent communication is essential to us. Whether through teacher updates, conferences, or phone calls, we are always here to help. If you ever have questions, please reach out to your child's teacher or our main office staff.

"6 Day Cycle": Our daily schedule will be operating by way of a “6 DAY CYCLE,” as opposed to the traditional Monday through Friday concept. By using a 6 DAY CYCLE, we avoid missing special subjects (Art, Music, Physical Education, Library and RAM Quest) on days when school is not in session (snow days, vacation days, etc.). The first day of school will be “DAY 1,” as opposed to “MONDAY.” The second day of school will be “DAY 2;” the third day will be “DAY 3,” and so forth. The cycle will repeat itself every six days. In order to prevent any confusion, the “DAY” will be posted on our school calendar, as well as in classrooms and on our morning television announcements.
