Update from SFAHS Principal Dr. Nugent

After 36 years as a Spring-Ford Ram, Dr. Patrick Nugent, Spring-Ford Area High School Principal, has announced that he will retire on August 7, 2020. In a video message to his staff, Dr. Nugent said, "Spring-Ford is a great school district because of you all, our loyal faculty and staff."

Dr. Nugent has had a profound impact on the Spring-Ford community, the students, staff, teachers and colleagues who have been fortunate enough to work with him over the last 36 years. It is safe to say that Spring-Ford would not be what it is today without his heart, vision, loyalty and devotion to the school district and community he loves so much.

Sports Physicals

At this time, Sports Physical will NOT be taking place at school buildings. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the athlete to turn in completed PIAA Section 5 Health History and PIAA Section 6 CIPPE Physical forms.

Physicals must be administered/completed by a physician on or after June 1, 2020. If you are unable to get an appointment with your doctor or insurance will not cover the physical, contact a local Urgent Care, Patient First or CVS to schedule a physical. Call in advance when considering these options as prices vary.

Online registration must be completed before forms can be turned in. Forms can be mailed in or dropped off at school buildings (grades 7-12) starting the month of July. Be sure to check building summer hours prior to dropping off forms.

Instructional Continuation Plan

Starting Monday, March 30th teachers will be providing new instruction online using Google Classroom with the intent of advancing and moving the curriculum forward. Please know that we understand that this is going to be a transition for families, and we are stressing flexibility for families. Instruction will be asynchronous, which means that families will have flexibility as to when in the day they will complete their work.

Please click here to review the Instructional Continuation Plan. On this page, you will find:

We understand that this transition may be difficult, but please remember that your Spring-Ford family is here to support you as your family ease into this near learning style. Please take your time in reviewing this information, and watch (or re-watch) the Instructional Continuation Plan presentation.

Safe2Say Something is the easiest way to let someone know that there is a problem and let them handle it. The best part is, they will never know who it was that submitted it. It’s that simple.
