Maddy Park

THANK AN INVENTOR - AAPI MONTH: Madeline Park created Cafe Maddy Cab, a community-led fundraising initiative to pay for cab rides for vulnerable members of New York City’s community: Asian elderly, Asian women and Asian members of the LGBTQ community. By combining her beautiful, selfless act of wanting to protect the community, with the recognition of the power of digital platforms, Maddy was able to raise awareness and create effective change. Starting with her own donation of $2,000 to the fund, Cafe Maddy Cab has since raised over $100,000 -- proving that we all truly can be the change we want to see in this world.

Aevidum Club

The Aevidum club will be creating Spring-Ford’s first “Field of Gratitude.” During the weeks of May 17th through the 28th, club members will be selling flags at lunches on which staff and students can write the name of any community member (SF staff, students, family, & other community members) who helped them persevere during this challenging period. Each flag will serve as recognition of the appreciation we hold for the individuals who have had our backs this past year. On June 1st, all flags will be placed in the grass in front of both the 10-12 Center and the 9th Grade Center along South Lewis Road. Flags will be $1 or 3 for $2, and can be purchased at lunches (both at 10-12 Center & 9th Grade Center), before or after school in room 150 (10-12 Center), or on Wednesdays from Mrs. Kucher at the front desk.

Spring-Ford S2SS

Click here to submit a S2SS report.

What types of things should I report? If it makes you uncomfortable, submit a tip. It will be up to your school to determine what the next steps are. Do you think someone is going to harm themselves? Did you see something scary that concerns you online? Submit this kind of thing.

Safe2Say Something is the easiest way to let someone know that there is a problem and let them handle it. The best part is, they will never know who it was that submitted it. It’s that simple.

If you are in immediate need of help, call 9-1-1 or go to your local area hospital Emergency Department, or call the Montgomery County Mobile Crisis Support number:
