Hoco 2020

Fall is finally here, and we are excited to share with you our plan for HOMEcoming 2020! As you know, fall is usually the time at Spring-Ford where annual events surrounding Homecoming are planned for and celebrated by our student body and community. This year, more than ever, Homecoming is all about our community.

Through meetings with student leaders, Royersford Borough, faculty and club advisors who coordinate the events for the week, all of which take great pride in doing so, we have collectively determined that we are still able to hold many of our traditional Homecoming events in October in a slightly different format.

FOOTBALL GAME: Originally scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020, our Homecoming football game is normally surrounded by several events including a Power Puff Game, dance, community parade and picnic, which will not be held this October. In the absence of those events, the game itself is now going to be played on Friday, October 9, 2020. As well, the football game will now serve as Senior Night for our senior football players, managers, and cheerleaders.

HOMECOMING COURT: The Homecoming Court selection process will begin on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Selection and voting information will shared with all students grades 9-12 in the coming days.

INTERACT CLUB DRIVE THROUGH FOOD DRIVE: This food drive is open to the entire Spring-Ford community! Drive by and drop off non-perishable food items to be donated to Project Outreach, right here in our Spring-Ford community. Simply place your bagged or boxed non-perishable food items in the trunk or the back of your car, drive into the 10-12 Center teardrop, pop your trunk and we will grab your donation. This is an easy way to make a big impact on our Spring-Ford Community!

HOMECOMING SOCCER GAME: For the first time in our school’s history, we are thrilled to announce the crowning of a King and Queen during a Spring-Ford Soccer Game! The Homecoming Soccer Game is scheduled to take place in McNelly Stadium on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10 a.m. Our Homecoming King and Queen will be announced during half-time. RCTV will livestream both the game and Homecoming Court announcement.

SPIRIT WEEK: Save the date for Spirit Week! This year, the week of October 19, 2020 will be our fall spirit week for all students, grades 9-12. This is a week for students to show their school pride, individual creativity and have fun! Spirit Week participants will be encouraged to send in photos for prize consideration and possible entry in our yearbook!
