Welcome to the end of the 2017-2018 school year! The last nine months have passed quickly! To our graduates – congratulations on your achievement! The Spring-Ford Area School District wishes you all the best in the future. For those families who will be returning for the 2018-2019 school year, school will begin on Monday, August 27, 2018.

Some high school classes have required summer assignments, which are posted on the High School website. Questions should be directed to the teacher directly. Note that some assignments are lengthy, so students should plan their time accordingly. Click here for High School Summer assignments.
Many Spring-Ford elementary schools, secondary schools and sports clubs/music groups are supported by a parent organization, which sponsors various social and fundraising activities throughout the year.
If you are interested in becoming involved in a parent organization, contact your school office for more details.
You are invited to join us on August 9, from 4 to 6 p.m., for Back-to-Spring-Ford Parent Night! Parents can meet their H&S or PTO representative, learn about volunteer opportunities, gather important Back-to-School information, enter to win prizes, complete your Volunteer Clearances, learn about athletic registration, meet with the district’s Curriculum and Instruction team, and much more!
Frequently Asked Questions
When will I find out my child’s schedule for the 2018-2019 school year? You may log on to your Skyward account to check your students schedule, homeroom and transportation information during the following time(s):
- -K-4: August 15, 2018 at 3 p.m.
- -5th – 8th: August 16, 2018 at 3 p.m.
- -9th – 12th: August 17, 2018 at 3 p.m.
My child is taking the bus next year, how will I find out their bus stop and pick up/drop off times? Once open you may log on to your Skyward account to check your students schedule, homeroom and transportation information at that time.
How do I access the Summer 2018 Meals Locator? Summer Meal Programs help close the nutrition gap children face when schools let out for summer — when children no longer receive school meals they relied on throughout the school year. Please use this information about the availability and location of free meals for students over the summer months through the Summer Food Service Program.
Families can use any of the following methods to locate sites that serve free meals to children during the summer:
-Call 1.866.348.6479 (English) or 1.877.842.6273 (Spanish)
-Text “FOOD” for English or “COMIDA” for Spanish to 877-877 to find a meal site near you during the summer months.

My child is ending the year with a balance in his/her food account, what do I do? This balance will be rolled over for your use next year, and will also transfer from one school to another within our district (ex: from 4th grade elementary to 5/6th grade center.
If you are moving out of the district and have an ending balance of $5.00 or more, you will be issued a refund check. In order for a refund checks to be issued, you need to submit in writing, via letter or email, to the District Office (Attn: Foodservices), who the student is (name & student number), a copy of the district withdrawal form and the address you would like the check sent to.
