Student Registration - Spring-Ford Area School District

Welcome to Spring-Ford Area School District, welcome home!

Congratulations on your choice to move to the Spring-Ford area, one of the best communities in Pennsylvania.

REGISTRATIONS for K-12 will re-open on March 18, 2024.

2024-2025 Kindergarten Registration Age Requirement: All children must be 5 years of age by August 31, 2024. Spring-Ford offers half-day kindergarten.

Only a natural parent or court-appointed guardian living in the school district and at the same residence of the student may register a student. Parents/guardians are legally obligated to provide accurate information during the registration process. Any information deemed inaccurate may result in legal action.

All new students to the district as well as students who have left and are returning back to Spring-Ford are required to complete new registration.

Proof of the Child's Age: Birth Certificate, Valid Passport, Notarized Copy of Birth Certificate, Baptismal Certificate, or a Copy of the Record of Baptism - notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth; notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth, or a prior school record indicating the date of birth.

Parent / Guardian Photo Identification: Valid Driver’s License, DOT Photo Identification Card or Passport

Two Proofs of Residence

First Proof of Residence: Deed, Settlement Statement, or Current Lease.
Second Proof of Residence: Current Utility Bill, Current Credit Card Bill, Current Pay Stub, or Valid Vehicle Registration.

Proof of Immunizations: Child's Immunization Record
Children in ALL grades (K-12) need the following immunizations for attendance:

4 doses of tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (one dose on or after student's 4th birthday)
4 doses of polio(one dose on or after student's 4th birthday)
2 doses of measles, mumps and rubella (MMR)
3 doses of hepatitis B
2 doses of varicella (chicken pox)

Additional Requirements for Students Entering 7th Grade

1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (Tdap)
1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)

Additional Requirements for Students Entering 12th Grade

2nd dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV)
MCV is to be given at 16 years or older to count as the 12th grade dose

A written Statement from the former school district or from a medical office that the required immunizations have been administered, or that a required series is in progress.

Verbal Assurances from the former school district or a medical office that the required immunizations have been completed, with records to follow.

The following forms will be made available for completion within the registration portal.

Spring-Ford Authorization to Release Student Records Form - Must be completed if your child has previously attended school, PreK-12th.
Spring-Ford Child Custody Form - Required if separated or divorced. If you have an existing Court Ordered Child Custody Agreement, please upload the full agreement within the portal
Kindergarten Transportation Form - Required for Kindergarten Only. Please be sure to complete both AM and PM Session sections on the form. Sessions are decided in August.
Child Care Transportation Form – Required if student has Child Care in place for part of the day such as Before / After School or Half Day.

Incoming 3rd graders – turn in a Dental Exam.
Incoming 6th graders - turn in a Physical Exam with any immunization updates.
Incoming 7th graders - turn in a Dental Exam and an updated immunization record with the first dose of MCV and Tdap immunizations.
Incoming 11th graders - turn in a Physical Exam with any immunization updates.
Incoming 12th graders - turn in an updated immunization record with a second dose of MCV.
Physical Exams and Dental Exams dated on or after July 1, 2024 are acceptable.

New SFASD Families

New SFASD Families is for families who are brand new to Spring-Ford, registering their first child in the district or if you are a returning family with no students currently attending Spring-Ford. Whether you're registering a Kindergarten student, or just moved to Spring-Ford, this is for you!

NEW FAMILIES ONLY:

Complete the Account Request form via Skyward.
On the bottom left, click "Click here to submit account request."
An email will be sent to the email address you provided.
Open your email and note your login and password (5-digit code).
Click on the enrollment link and log in.
You will now be directed to the registration form.

Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted by our registration department.

Returning SFASD Families

Returning SFASD Family is for families who have at least one student currently attending Spring-Ford with an active Spring-Ford Skyward account.

RETURNING FAMILIES ONLY:

Log into your existing Skyward account to start the New Student Registration process.
From the left navigation panel click on New Student Registration.
You will be directed to the registration form.
Only Family 1/Guardian 1, meaning the primary guardian listed in skyward can register through Family Access not Family 1/Guardian 2. If you need assistance please contact your child's sending school or the Registration Office.

Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted by our registration department.
