In our efforts to safely welcome all students back to school for in-person learning, the Spring-Ford Area School District is providing weekly COVID-19 testing for all current K-12 students and all current employees. The purpose of student testing is to provide an additional layer of prevention to slow the spread of COVID-19 in school buildings and extracurricular activities. The COVID Test Clinic is available in addition to the Test to Stay Program.
ABOUT THE COVID TEST CLINIC: The Spring-Ford School District will provide Abbott’s BinaxNOW COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test to current Spring-Ford students (with prior parent/guardian consent) and employees. The BinaxNOW test is a fast nasal swab of both nostrils. The test involves inserting a small swab, like a Q-Tip, into the front of the nose in both nostrils; results will be sent directly to parents and/or employees by PA Rapid Test. Individuals who are symptomatic may participate in this program, though, for the safety of those on our school campuses, we recommend that staff/students with notable active symptoms (congestion, fever, vomiting) also contact their primary health provider. Please be sure to be masked and observe social distancing.
